Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
FWIW I read somewhere on Twitter today that last years round of 16 match at LR generated € 1.4m for Leinster, after the € 400k rental fee, and 35% of the gate receipts going to Ulster. It really shows the importance of a home match in the round of 16; and must have Ulster and Munster looking to use...

40k tickets sold.. https://x.com/Murray_Kinsella/status/1777653896179015946 Nice, there was a big element of Lansdowne fatigue last season, great numbers after 2 days on sale. Hopefully goes to 45k+ by the weekend. Just looking at the TM site and there only seems to be tickets left in the West Uppe...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
Official attendance last night was 40,775. @Mr VP Were we, I didn't notice, too busy enjoying our win. Point still stands though. It'll be a tall order to sell 40k in less than a week although I'm sure there will be plenty of Munster fans willing to buy tickets and go to the match in a La Rochelle ...

Interesting quote on the BBC website re Man Utd:
They faced 28 shots here, their highest total on record in a Premier League game at Old Trafford, and 62 in all in two league meetings with Liverpool this season - and yet have not lost in three games, the FA Cup tie included.

We've got ours. Season Ticket holders only until 1 pm tomorrow, isn't it ? Another 35 - 40k attendance will fill Leinster's coffers nicely. Ah yes, the "exclusive" pre-sale link which could be forwarded to anyone. Dunno if they'll get 35-40k. They didn't even get 40k last night and they'd been plug...

Re: Rugby NAMA thread Revisited Rugby
Interestingly, I've heard that building providers have had an absolute dire first quarter to the year (e.g. Chadwick's, Heat Merchants, Brooks etc). This is despite an urgent need for housing but there's a slowdown coming in the later part of this year by the looks of it. A slowdown when demand is ...

Not a chance Saints will win next week. They'll be physically destroyed from expending so much energy escaping the gravitational pull of a certain Munster player today.

Not sure if that was a quality finish or shit defending. Probably a bit of both.

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
Leinster's lineout was a shambles and Porter looked in trouble in the scrum a number of times. I think we look like a relatively poorly coached team these days. Not sure how much Neinebar has to do with it but we are kicking away a lot of ball and competing poorly in the air to retrieve it. Our def...

Article in the Sunday Times today with Cormac Lucey where he says he's running in the local elections this year in Dun Laoghaire Rathdown. Now, granted the guy isn't the most personable person around but if he does get elected, he'll be driven demented within a few months.

Was at the game and haven't watched anything back, what are the thoughts on Lowe's yellow card? Looked like it just happened in the tackle in real time, and the TMO must have given the ref a nudge to review it? Thought the yellow was harsh, I genuinely thought he just clipped the ball when trying t...

Early Thursday morning, I had a mild heart attack, no massive pains or sweating or the like, but a general feeling of my chest being squeezed. So I drove to the ER and was shuffled straight into the operating room for a 2.5 hour op using catheter. They inserted three stents and I am able to sit up ...

Really looking forward to the Stormers v LaR match. Probably the tie of the round.
Some other tasty matches too in Quins v Glasgow, Exeter v Bath and Northampton v Munster.
Leinster v Leicester too but I'm biased
