There's a pretty good Private Eye summary of the whole farrago somewhere. The ITV series just finished is well worth a watch too, and has obviously raised the profile of the case to a huge degree.

I can kind of see the RFU's point here - don't half the clubs in the Championship just want to stay there rather than be promoted? So if the plan is to have two divisions of clubs that can all potentially play in the Prem (or Prem 1), and finance it, you have to shake up the second tier to make that...
