Re: The Training Thread - all aspects of fitness and health
Great work wamberal, you're definitely very active! The majority of my friends are dead. Why the focus on isometric stuff? Not a focus, it is an add on. Just gives me a bit more activity. (It is recommended by a Professor Gordon Lynch, we have been listening to his programme on the ABC for years.)

The Rebels would need some luck, no injuries, etc, but they have got the cattle to win.

Re: The Training Thread - all aspects of fitness and health
 Sounds a lot to me. I wear a Garmin watch that tracks my steps and most days my goal is only 6k-7k. Unless I make a conscious decision to go for a decent walk I rarely achieve that except on the days I play golf. So hitting 15-20k consistently sounds very impressive to me. How is your blo...

I'm still alive. I do a lot of fairly gentle work, cardio every day (usually the indoor bike for the sake of my leg strength). Weights twice a week. Isometric strength exercises and similar work every other day. Floor exercises every day. Considering that I have spinal stenosis I am doing okay. Gre...

Re: Yeah, don't fly boeing planes at the moment
There was a segment on morning tv interviewing one of the passengers. From what he said, this is potentially serious. According to him, the plane lost power and dived for a minute or so. Passengers hit the ceiling. He was half asleep and belted up, apparently. He spoke to some of the flight crew aft...

Re: OFFICIAL" Reds are too lazy to start a Chiefs thread" thread
Great game though - what a night for excellent rugby. Done by a committed side and the crazy bounce of a rugby ball. Pity it wasn't a night for excellent refereeing. I thought the refs were very positive in all 3 games I watched this morning. Added to great spectacles. I wonder how positive Tom Lyn...

Ravai is a beast, when he came on last week he almost won the game single-handedly.
But of course they are both imports, unfortunately.

Lolesio, being the oldest, possibly has the least excuses and the lowest ceiling. He’s a whiny bitch. An acquaintance of ours, whose son went to TSS (on a rugby scholarship I think) a couple of years behind Lolesio told us that he had been a really good guy at school, and for a year or two after. Personally I'd go with Gordon/Lolesio at 9/10 Just putting it out there… I thought Gordon was serving up absolute rubbish until the last half hour of the game on the weekend. Lolesio needs more games like round 1, and less like round 2 to come back into consideration. Anyways, loving the selection ...

Gordon gets nowhere near it. I would go Lonergen and one of the Reds boys. The other and Tate as the backups. When I say world class I mean blokes like Bobby V and TT and Lenny Ikitau. Players who can play at any level and would be at home in most test sides. Fair enough. We definitely do...

Re: Wallabies 2024 (2023 never happened)
Gordon has always had the skill set but never the mindset. His slow play from the base and his inclination to look for penalties that are not there hold back any side he plays for. He had some good seasons, I thought he had a lot of leadership qualities during tough times. But he is now too bloody ...

10. Tom Lynagh. If his name was Tom Lyon you wouldn't be pushing for this. Let him develop first. Maybe he will be the answer but I don't like pinning our hopes to him because his Dad played a little bit. His name might have got him into the Reds side, but I have been around far too long to be impr...

Brumbies looked impressive, great to see them and Rob Valetini continuing to set the standard for Australian rugby. I didn't think they were that good. They were clearly better than Rebels though. I thought Leota was pretty good. The Rebels played like a bunch of random players that had never met e...
