Re: The official Lions 2021 thread

So that's a hard one to figure out selection wise. Daly and Hogg in the backs really didn't cover themselves in glory. Wings probably get a pass. Henshaw/Harris plus Williams? Pack were mostly fine outside the lineout and that's up to the analysis to see if LCD really deserves all the blame. Mako c...

Re: Official Match Thread: BIL vs Springboks

The Boks didn't exactly dominate the first half. They just soaked up everything the Lions tried with ease and took their points when offered. They played very little rugby. Would ya schtop they should have been 20points clear at half time Did you see the halftime stats? Barely 100 tackles made betw...

Re: Official Match Thread: BIL vs Springboks

Notice how the Lions fans are begrudgingly admitting that Watson was lucky with the tip tackle? That's because any NH ref would have red carded him. Begrudgingly ? Most people realise he was very lucky surely ? Was at least a yellow imho Straight red at the table I was sitting at watching the match...

According to Sky Rory Sutherland: A late replacement for the injured Wyn Jones, he gave a good account of himself. 8/10 From the man that gave LCD the same score as Conan. You’re still trying to pretend that pass from Hogg to Henshaw didn’t happen. So much better than the low rent competitive thread. In respect of the "almost butchered try" he was only stopped but a neck high tackle that would have seen Etzebeth sent off and a penalty try awarded.

Yeah, it's a pathetic attempt. I can see Sutherland dropping out of the 23 but Conan was superb and only Derwyn saw all these Hogg mistakes. Because it was barely above the horizontal and he clearly landed on his elbows before milking the head knock when his head never hit the ground. Simple as that.

Okay so I have found an error in your scores, for some reason there was a hard coded 92 against Oosthuizen's score that should have been a -9, as I must have stuck something in manually to that cell last time round (maybe a typo etc.) As a result your scores were Spieth/2nd/-10 Fitzpatrick/26th/26 ...
