Strange for RB not to choose the medium since they started on soft there. Hard did seem to be better though and there are 22 laps left

I'll, uh, leave this over here for you lot to discuss... :uhoh: https://i.redd.it/zjgjzwxb38l91.jpg My bet is that's not actually real. Almost 100%. I was thinking the exact same thing there. Almsot as if this is a PR stunt. Deffo, how do you define fetish in this context? Like all the top searches...

https://racingnews365.com/crb-ruling-details-alpine-failings-in-handling-piastri-contract Alpine's behaviour was even more shambolic than anyone could have imagined. No wonder he left them after messing him around like that. They've been stuck with all all the legal fees now too. Pretty ridiculous ...

Re: F1 Thread
You've got to admire his ballsiness. Aside from going behind Alpine's back to line up the Mclaren deal it'd take some confidence to take on Norris with how he's doing. He does have the CV to back it up though..

Anyone have any experience with installing PV solar? We've a good sized SSW facing roof and are considering it (along with probably half the country now). I've seen is suggested that the economics work best if you just go for panels and don't put a battery in place, but since a lot of our power use ...

Re: F1 Thread
Based on his pace all weekend Max could win this even with the penalties. He's on a different planet Bit depressed by that. You may as well just switch Mercedes with Red Bull at this point. That's the only thing the regs have done. Dunno how that's depressing, the prospect of Max and Charles carvin...

Re: F1 Thread
Looking forward to seeing if the new bouncing regs make any difference at the weekend. I don't think they will make much difference, but I think Merc will be right up there at the front of the pack now with other upgrades and will pick up a couple of wins in the second half of the season, bad news ...

This is 3 times in a row Aus have beaten SA isn't it? They have the perfect game to beat them.
This must be the most open the Rugby Championship has been in years. NZ will probably still win all their remaining games and walk it now though..

Completely right. Schmidt is exactly what NZ need and they are going to be phenomenal by the time the WC rolls around.lemonhead wrote: ↑Thu Aug 18, 2022 9:49 am https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=kgs6buNnlUM

No one is saying that Norris isn't a good driver ffs. He's still a spoiled rich tosser though. He's funny at times so he's not the worst but he's literally a walking toff stereotype. I mean he's called Lando for a start ffs.

Re: F1 Thread
Ricciardo doesn't make sense for the same reason that Gasly leaving does, neither are ever going to be RB drivers again.
Yuki is hilarious and is the only Japanese driver so is very marketable. I'd say they'll hold on to him for a little while longer, he's still very young.

Obviously it depends on your circumstances, where you live etc. Kids add a ton. 150k isn't fúcking modest, though. It's just under 7K a month nett , Nols. If you have a mortgage, couple of kids in secondary , private health insurance and 2 cars, you are going through the majority of it every month....

Another theory is Piastri to Alpha Tauri as a possible long term replacement for Perez given Webber's links to RB, Gasly to a French team and how the ship has sailed on him ever being back in RB etc.

Re: F1 Thread
I don't see how Russell being ahead at the start was such an impediment, it was clearly possible to pass if there was a pace difference. Ferrari starting on mediums against Softs meant they didn't have any pace adv. Then the just pitted at the same time anyway.. and that wasn't even this biggest fuc...

Can anyone fathom why Alan believes Max was lucky in that session. I think he's saying that Max has a tendancy to minimise his mistakes and salvage a decent result even when he has a setback. The car is being developed for a sharp front end as it suits MVs driving style. Perez not able to drive as well with the sharp front end. Its quite widely known. So it fits my suspicions in some ways - as I was thinking they are going all in towards Max, regardless if detrimental for Perez They dev...
