Re: Rob Baxter to World Rugby, Stop messing with the scrum and maul
Look at the old games. Scrums took no time. The ball was in and out. These days roided up orcs take minutes per scrum. I hate to think how much of the game is taken up by scrums and scrum penalties. They are part of the game. Surely you should go and watch sevens or league ... Or basketball rugby ....

Re: Has Scotland gone full fascist?
Any mention of the word Sassenach on this Fred, and I'm suing the racist, bigoted fvckers.
Any further mention of independence is also incredibly insulting and offensive.
(This is all to do with making blasphemy a 21C crime and returning us back to the dark ages btw)

If they can win with that, then fair play. Chances are they won't though.RodneyRegis wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2024 3:27 pm "I'm really cross that they changed the laws to stop my team spending 80 minutes picking and going"

U18 festival - What a great game! The Welsh girls were ready to remove heads from shoulders there.
They deserved a bit more of the scoreline, but a fantastic comeback from the English girls from 14-0 behind.

Re: Women's 6 Nations 2024 thread
I know from many, many conversations with a work colleague, who herself would have fringed on national selection when younger, but never made it; that she felt excluded for not fitting the physique/fitness/dynamism potential identikit which began to be accepted as needed for success at internationa...

Re: **OFFICIAL** English Rugby Thread
I’m a neutral but in all fairness Bath should be awarded the win if Herbst returned 2-3 mins before the yellow was completed. Why? It's nothing to do with either team if the officials let him back on early. The player and the coaches know what 10 mins feels like and you’d think they would be keenly...

Re: LRZ
Those that think the NFL is easy are dumber than dirt. Apparently, they don't do anything. Just a bit of running, interspersed with the occasional catching requirement. But that was never said though - that gridiron is shit - but you continue to pile into the thread without reading it first. All in...

Re: LRZ
You think NFL is just about running and catching? That's like saying chess is just about picking pieces up and moving them. You'd have to be absolutely bereft of cognitive discernment to believe that. If you take the position of rook for example, although the overall game itself may be intellectual...

It must be easier if you don't have to worry about anything but running and catching 3 times a game? Sure, I guess you could look at it in moronically simplistic terms if you like. You’ve met message then? OooOOoooh! Get you! I don't see what's so controversial with the statement. Or question even.

In the absence of a crayola font, I'll make this simple for you: I wasn't disputing your point that rugby players have very different requirements, merely making a mockery of your assertion that NFL players have it easy. It must be easier if you don't have to worry about anything but running and ca...

Re: Women's 6 Nations 2024 thread
I think Scotland emptied the tank so much on defence that they just couldn't muster the attacking threats when they did get a sniff of territory. Big improvement just hanging in the match for 80 minutes, though. Take note, Wales! I don't recall them getting a sniff of territory in that second half.

Good advice. Chester is great! Lake District is summer would be good too - we went there years ago and it was arctic, but still very nice. Give me a shout if you're in Chester Towny. It's a super place though not in York's league. Conwy is a great place to visit on the way to Snowdonia. Cheers! I j...

Re: LRZ
Just to put NFL players’ athleticism into context, LRZ’s pro day results would put him 16th fastest in this year’s rookie class at the combine for the 40yard dash, and his vertical jump would be dead last. That’s just for WRs. And he’s probably the most explosive and certainly the fastest player ru...

The English Prem continues to bleed players to France - Sinckler and Ludlam are both now confirmed to Toulon at the end of the season. Neither were starters for England but also not close to retirement, and would've been useful as squad players to keep around for at least a few seasons Bigger pictu...

Not really good to watch, but worth watching if you like age group rugby. Camera work could have been ... better. And with a score like that it was a bit of a procession. From the first half they look a well coached side. I like all of them but they aren't playing much. From what I saw: Campion (be...
