Re: **OFFICIAL** English Rugby Thread
Halfpenny is particularly poor at getting his head on the right side of the tackle and it's resulted in a couple of injuries for him. Luckily I didn't see the Tigers game at the weekend and I won't be watching it back but it should be frankly unacceptable for a club with our resources to be so thoro...

Re: Howley named as Lions attack coach
Given Wales stellar attacking play, how can anyone argue with this? In all seriousness it is a little worrying that having missed out on the man they wanted Gatland has immediately defaulted to his default option of a guy from the Welsh set up. Is he really the second best attack coach available? I...

Just because NZ has better players than most doesn't mean that their missing players don't count. Whitelock and Retallick are awesome. ALB was a huge part of why their 2016 vintage was so good, ditto Dagg. Crotty is the glue in their backline. And you cannot play a flanker at lock if you're serious...

March will reveal who's better in March. Unless someone copies Mr Daly It all counts. Discipline is part of the game. Seriously though, if Ireland had won the Grand Slam, thrashed Australia 3-0 away on tour, then thrashed South Africa, Fiji, Argentina (with the red card) and Australia at home then ...

Unfortunately, and I'm not a fan, F1 passes all of those criteria Only just. Take away the hastily added 3.1 and I think we have a clear fail. While I think it's pointless. I think that assessment is totally the wrong way round - Yarde has been marmalised by good wingers even at test level (eg vs Savea in 2014, a player who Roko had no trouble handling) and is generally not a great defender. He has all the positional problems of Roko with the added bonus of being bump...

I'd like to know looking at that try why people are so happy to have a prop at the back of the lineout? I'd be half tempted to take Yarde over Roko purely on sounder defensive positioning. You would assume Hughes will start at 8 although going with Clifford for extra pace and athleticism could be an option.
