Re: Game of Thrones - TV series (mark your spoilers)
I'm sure none of you boys will be be disappointed with the number of shagging/boob & naked women scenes, plenty more in esp 2. There is one very alarming scene involving Theon and the captain's daughter that's just unnecessary. The rest of course is integral to the plot and adds real histori...

Reading Winter King about the reign of Henry VII. Very readable and very interesting narrative of a period that's often overlooked.

Re: Game of Thrones - TV series (mark your spoilers)
Yep, I sorted that out. Just seen episode 2, and it's good. Still building obviously but good, with some outstanding historical accuracy in there. They're deviating from the books, making things that are implicit explicit, and taking out a few of the minor characters. Still, as George Martin said i...

Why no Inspiral Carpets on the list? I'm going to see them next Friday. Can't wait! Also The Verve aren't from Manchester. Just for you Theo, they have made the cut and have relegated the verve back to wigan! Can you relegate The Charlatans back to Northwich/Birmingham....they are not a Manchester ...

If you look on the website, every day there's a 'WOD' or 'Workout Of the Day' amongst all the other crap. That's the programme basically, they do a pattern of three days on, one day off, and it's a mixture of strength and circuit training using lots of different bodyweight and weighted movements, a...

Re: Best sitcom.
Sit coms in general (certainly British ones) really don't date well. The best loved comedy of the 50s and early 60s were the various vehicles for Tony Hancock, which genuinely emptied the pubs. The most famous line in the most famous episode, The Blood Donor, has Hancock saying to a nurse "I don't ...

In fairness the other people in my gym aren't really that bad.
