Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

Misses out the fact that we have done really well in racking up sponsorship deals since the new backroom team took over, while say a player like Payne might be one what is considered a tiday salary but less than what he could have got in France he get's a free car from our Mazda worth about 25-30k a...

In the last 5 games Best has started we have won more than 94% of our lineouts, in the last 10 games it's greater than 90%, in 6 of those 10 games we have lost no lineouts.

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

Not Best's finest performance, and the lineout wasn't perfect, but I wouldn't want him dropped by any means. i agree although Cronin looked very good when he came on, he is so dynamic. Cronin's a sub though. He's the best hooker we have at Leinster or Ireland to bench. He's not good enough to start...

The thought of Earls at 13 against Manu gives me nightmares, England might actually score a try in the 6N. Who else? That's the problem. You know fine well it won't count for anything despite the fact D'Arcy is no longer just a weakness he's a liability. Jackson's kicking off the deck has been extremely disappointing, something to do with a coach at Ulster (Doak again) changing his technique, he was a f**king metronome until he moved up to the senior Ulster squad.

Fair point re the forwards coach Armchair. I dont think our current coaching set up is right at all but the target of most of my anger is Doak. Gilroy is a hell of a lot more solid than last year in terms of his all round game but his attacking instincts seem to have been blunted as a result. I get...

The pack can still serve up ball but our backline when missing atleast 2 of Paddy, Cave and Trimble can be a bit toothless despite having some talented players in there.
