What is incredible is that he leads almost all the stats in his team despite having played less than most of his teammates.

Re: Official 2023-24 “HSBC SVNS” International 7s Series Thread
****ARGIES HAVE BEEN BEATEN IN QUARTERS***** As I said above you, Ireland very lucky to win that. They were against five men for over a minute, with one yellow card being debateable, and they scored a try that put them more than a try ahead in the dying stages with something that appeared to be in ...

Re: Official France vs Italy - 6 Nations Day 3
Did he just not place the ball on the tee properly? I mean wtf. Typical italy. Anyway, france are terrible currently. Something rotten in the camp. Its alot more than Dupont missing. DuPont still masked lot of France's weaknesses, not the least their technical cleaning of the rucks which is light y...

Re: Official France vs Italy - 6 Nations Day 3
Compare Italy forwards work at the rucks and the French... That's where France is making hard for itself. I've said for years that we were one of the worst top teams at cleaning our rucks....it's only DuPont's brillance and dexterity with ball in hand that have been hiding a bit this huge weakness

Re: Official France vs Italy - 6 Nations Day 3
And to stop the crap being said about this being down to Dupont-Ntamack not playing, I'd like to remind everyone that almost the same team, without Dupont and Ntamack, put 60 past Italy around 6 months ago... Italy just took 96 pts before that game ffs Any decent team would have trashed them consid...

Re: Official France vs Italy - 6 Nations Day 3
I knew Ntamack and Dupont were outstanding obviously but I didn't think they were so responsible for Frances form of the past few years. It's rather DuPont than Ntamack, especially when you look who is his replacement. France were overall pretty good in the last RWC with Jalibert, it's rather since...

Re: Scotland vs France Match Thread
That was probably a try but on the other hand, was Russell's steal on Le Garrec legal? I mean, watching it live, he looked way offside while the ruck was formed
Hard luck Scotland anyway, that was not a great game by any means and both teams looked poor overall but well, we'll take this win.

The number of injuries/absences in major players in that French team is mind blowing.
That's what you get when you play in a way too long domestic competition.

Re: France vs Ireland Official 2024 6N Match Thread
Same workload? Where did I say or imply that? Mo'unga was at the end of a season where he'd played about 1900 mins of rugby from Feb 2023 to the WC QF Sexton had under 800 mins dating back to Sep 2022. Problem is we gambled on Sexton still being fit enough for the RWC, when in reality, in retrospec...

Re: France vs Ireland Official 2024 6N Match Thread
france away was by far the most challenging game for ireland. it would be huge upset for any of the other sides to beat ireland given their form. the other teams are all a level below ireland/france. its a back to back grandslam for ireland. last done by england in 91/92 i think? just looked it up-...

Re: France vs Ireland Official 2024 6N Match Thread
Worrying from France. Miss Dupont but that was really bad all round. LeGarric should be tried going forward. Penaud is class I'll say that, Ramos did his part. Hummm??? I'll say it again, bar his goal kicking, guy is a huge liability at 15 and already was against the Boks and Ireland in last 6N. Ke...

2 yellows and then the ref coaches the Stormers advising them to take a scrum so that they can reduce the opposition down to 12 players... Is this his role? They should know the laws. McCarthy is going to be the best lock in Europe in a season or two Ye lads are hilarious. You've just watched him mince around the park, niggling and giving away penalties for fun, and he's going to be "the best lock in Europe". :uhoh: Especially with the likes of Meafou or Flament coming around

Re: 2023/2024 European Champions Cup
What all the French sides- and Saffers and some English - have which Irish sure as hell do not, is pace to burn. It's the difference between playing decent football at times and delivering irresistible momentum. That ability to roast you off turnover, or off relatively few phases, is electric to wa...

toulouse, leinster and bordeaux look the teams to beat so far with toulouse the favourites. wouldnt totally rule out la rochelle still though as they pretty good at winning knock out rounds and may get back to their best form as the season goes on. Re: 2023/2024 European Champions Cup
Absolutely dismal from Sarries - what on earth has happened to them. Farrell looks totally disinterested. Not going to bother with the rest of the game I think we're potentially seeing Sarries worst ever night in Europe. Bordeaux are good, but they aren't '43 unanswered points' good. They've destro...

The one France won....oups
Funny to think they're the only country to have made a RWC final and to have yet to have won at least one RWC.

Re: Munster vs Bayonne @ Limerick 09/10/2023
Bayonne fans were delirah. If I'd been them, and knowing how weak a selection that Munster 23 were, I'd have been fecking disgusted. There for the taking. 14-3 was fragile but we had a shot in run in to half time to make it 19/21, and fcuked it. Had we taken it I'd say it would have been comfy and ...
