Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
Borlase is out the door, his contract was two years with an option of a third. So we should be bringing in another project player, either a backrow or prop I'd imagine. Project Player Matt Todd would be nice (if possible) Dream on. Yeah. I dread to think what sort of dross we'll actually end up wit...

The Howlett re-signing makes it pretty clear Bowe won't be going there. Murray ROG Earls Downey Lualala Howlett Jones Isn't exactly that bad a backline, obviously Downey is limited and ROG is ROH but there's talent in the rest. Zebo is decent too. Hopefully they give JJ some games next season. He s...

Well bar Stephen Moore who actually is Irish, are many of them proper Irish lads? And do they be havin the craic? Incidentally, from Farrelly's article; McGahan was arguably subjected to more online scorn than any other figure in Irish rugby over the past few years. I guess all that EOS hate had to...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
Deccie's win rate in 2011 and 2012 is something like 35%. You can tell yourself as much as you like that he is some kind of machiavellian genius. In reality he is a limited coach who got very lucky with a great pack of forwards and a set of halfbacks that suited them to a tee. He is out of his dept...

So..any one got any word on who is taking over from TMcg? Why? Is he leaving?how did you find out so quick? And,it's Eddie. Eddie's name is being bandied about a little bit too frequently for my liking. It is going to be very hard for some people to accept that Eddie is actually a far more intellig...

My outright favourite though is the one where they write a movie / end up as extras in a film.

I love it but the inconsistency is frustrating. They nailed it in Series 5 but all the rest were very hit & miss. More good than bad though in my opinion.

Windhoek is OK. Tafel and I think Windhoek too is made using Reinheitsgebot, so they lack the beloved (by saffas) chemical aftertaste of something like Castle. I drank far too much of that and Carling before discovering Windhoek. This always makes me look forward to winter. http://www.monteiths.co....

We desperately need a new coach. Not because Kidney is a poor one - of course he's not, he doesn't deserve as much stick as he gets by some of the mongs on here - but we need someone in who has no ties at all to Irish rugby and brings a new dimension to the side. Just look at the TOL situation, or ...

Sexton starting fixes a lot of issues; I badly wanted him to start the QF (and I'm a Munsterman). If he could just cut out the days when he has yips with the placekicking, he'll nail the 10 jersey for good. Earls centre isn't ideal, but he did score 2 tries at home to Wales last time...the back 3 l...
