Re: Last game of rugby you played
I played for a presidents team about 5 years ago when I was in my early-mid 40s. I worked hard on my fitness for many weeks prior, and did a lot of HIIT sessions and explosive / power activities in the gym. It was the first game of the season, and my first game in a few years. My intention was to pl...

Re: NBA season 2023/24 - Conference Finals!
I'm hoping for Timberwolves v Pacers match up in the NBA finals. I've got a soft spot for small market teams winning the NBA championship as they largely build their teams from the draft. We have 4 different style teams in the Conference Finals. This should be interesting (for basketball fans anyway).

Re: Anthony Joshua
It's not actually that hard to get to a Fury win, just look at the compubox stats from above. Rounds 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 11 have Fury either outlanding Usyk, or it's only a punch or two in favour to Usyk. If you are someone who likes the types of punches Fury is outputting then those narrow rounds...

Re: Anthony Joshua
I couldn’t understand why Fury kept backing up. He looked better in last couple of rounds when he stepped forward. It was obviously Fury's game plan to box on the back foot. I don't know why, maybe it was to help prevent getting counter punched. I suspect that we might see a change in that tactic d...

I get that, but what’s a phone call doing to do in a situation like that, you have to be able to trust the people who are charged with looking after your kids, I get that it might bring you piece of mind, but what happens if the cell service goes down? Re: Anthony Joshua
Really didn't think Usyk would have the power to knock out Fury since Wilder couldn't keep him down but that 9th round was epic. I believe the damage was done in round 8 with that punch to the nose that really seemed to bother Fury. He came out a little gunshy in round 9 and Usyk almost ended it. W...

Re: Anthony Joshua
The big take away here is Fury and Joshua are both evenly matched on paper. I bet fury does the rematch and retires And if Fury wins the rematch, there's also the potential for a trilogy to happen. As a long-time boxing fan, I would feel short-changed if Fury and Joshua did not fight each other. Th...

He won a lot of rounds on my score card, and a lot of rounds on the score cards of the 3 judges. Re: Anthony Joshua
I'm picking Tyson Fury to win and become undisputed champ. I think his terrible performance against Francis Ngannou would have done wonders for his motivation coming into this fight. It's going to be interesting to see how he handles Usyk's speed, footwork and south paw stance. I like both fighters.

Is it possible that some people here don’t know their arse from their elbow? Yep. Just for the record, it wasn't me criticising Read at the time. I agree. Wasn't the same player after the neck break. Up until then he was the best NZ seven post McCaw. I didn't realise that he was still alive until most recently! He was before my time, but whenever I see highlights of games in the 70s, Super Sid sticks out in the game like a pair of dog nuts. And how often do we see a winger get bundled into touch, only for them to fluff around with the ball while the opposition try to retrieve it for a quick throw in? The game is corrupt.
