Re: Big Joe McCarthy
Definitely see the Itoje comparison. Just very annoying to play against. Rock hard and very disruptive. With a huge work rate to go with all that power. Itoje really turned England from the fairly good team they were under Lancaster (and Farrell) into champions with Eddie Jones. Farrell undoubtedly...

Re: France vs Ireland Official 2024 6N Match Thread
I thought Karl Dickson had a great game. Did think Willemse should have got red for the first shoulder charge. I thought he was awful (but consistently awful) at the ruck. Side entries and dubious turnovers aplenty made for an interesting game at least. Lately refs seem to be very tolerant of side ...

Always enjoyed Brown as a player. Tough little bugger and pragmatic at 10.
A welcome addition to the Bok effort.
And loads of thanks to the departed Felix Jones - Godspeed at England.

Re: Players Underrated by other countries fans
Owen Farrell is more highly rated amongst fans from other nations - actual rugby fans. True. They just don't like him because he's a doos Not liking him as a player is different from not rating him as a player. We have the absolute benefit that every 4 years we get to 'like' the players we hate who...

Re: What's going on with the long jump
Lots of asterisks about Flo Jo's world record . Dodgier than a Saffa RWC win. Absolutely. Even a blind man could see she was juiced up to the gills. Well yeah, but the wind gauge controversy is a bigger issue I think. The 100m wind gauge read 0 m/s, while the triple jump wind gauge near by read 4+ ...

I hope the Bulls give the Stormers a poes-klap this weekend, if only to rub their official Praise Singer (Gavin Rich's) nose in the shit he is always spewing towards the non-coastal teams. This arsehole will put Zuma's Praise Singer to shame. I have to ask... What's a pose-klap? https://m.youtube.c...

Has any high-end ref ever been a prop? Australian Wayne Erickson is the last I know of Good enough reason to never let it be tried again. The man hadn’t a fcukin scooby. After the “let’s get the Yaroies” email scandal broke, he was the one ref whose stats involving saffa teams changed dramatically.

yep - not even a penalty the red was also a strange call - I did not see all the direct head contact that the ref relied on. but anyhoo - it was a very cynical outing from the Saracens all round. wouldn't be surprised if the weekend in Pretoria did not freak them out. can get a bit Gothic I haven't...

Saracens were flattered on the scoreboard today.
They look fvcked.
Saved from absolute embarrassment only by shambolic refereeing.
Bulls need a kick up the arse. Simply unacceptable to waste those tries like that.

Dupont number 1. After that it's highly biased. As someone who's heard the hype but never really watched him I wasn't overly impressed at the World Cup. A Smith was all over him game one and he choked when the pressure went on against South Africa. He shouldn’t have played against the Boks
