Re: The official cycling thread
First day out on my bike in f**king ages yesterday and I got a puncture. f**king potholes. What tyres are you 'running'? Since I splashed out on some Gatorskins I've not had a puncture, despite my route to work resembling downtown Kabul most of the way. Pricy, but worth it IMO. Utterly shit entry l...

Re: **OFFICIAL** English Rugby Thread
Apparently, the squad is due to be announced on Wednesday. reported to be a 32 man squad, but for a two-test tour that seems a little excessive. possibly: 5 props - corbs, marler, thomas, wilson, can see it being PDJ but would prefer shaun knight 3 hookers - gray, buchanan, webber 3 second rowers -...

Birmingham. His dad was a good rider. His mother is Stephen's sister. He's been cycling for Ireland throughout. He'd probably fail the Norman Tebbit cricket test. He was British Junior Road Race Champion in 2004. His dad was a former British Olympic Cyclist. How good was his mum? I'm aware of his f...

Just a random comment from watching the games this weekend but is it me or are a lot of the locks in the AP a bit shit? A bit too like NZ locks; fast and athletic but lightweight. We need some modern day Simon Shaws and Martin Johnsons. The rolling maul and scrum are becoming such important weapons...

I am not comfortable with the apparent dismissal of Italy in the press. We can't experiment in a critical match like this. Let's play our best team, win and move on.

Does Hartley's play in the loose still consist of flopping straight to the ground and knocking every other ball on, or has he managed to turn it around this season? Hartley is poor in the loose. Brown did have one maybe two games where he was slower than death, but he's completely redeemed himself ...

We have some great strength in depth now. This weekend Flood, Care, Tuilagi, Lawes, Hartley, Kitchener, Kvesic all looked classy players and yet can't make the 1st XV.

I was also pondering on which other 6N teams players would SIGNIFICANTLY strengthen England and can't think of many:
France - Picamoles
Italy - Parisse
Wales - Halfpenny, North
Scotland - Hogg
Ireland - no-one?
We are in a pretty good place right now. I like the coaches too, very solid.

Just watching the game again and I like our back 3 and disagree with the people braying for Goode out. In test match rugby field position is everything and having these three is helping us win the kicking battle which we never used to do.

It's USACycling who have the bigger problem. Rumours back then were that Weisel and Stapeltons' money was basically funding it, and they were its biggest power-bloc. The one protecting Lance.
