Re: British countryside is a ‘racist and colonial’ white space, wildlife charities claim
How can the British countryside be racist? Do they mean the people living there are racist? The article is paywalled... The British countryside is a “racist colonial” white space, wildlife charities have claimed. Wildlife and Countryside Link, a charity umbrella group whose members include the RSPC...

No botham and ‘ooh look his grandad is wearing red’ type tv bantz ? Surprised the Polish lad got dropped to the bench. Did the full 80 last week, so looks like he's being given a rest. Re: Video Game Console Wars - Do You Believe Such A Thing Has Ever Existed?
I've managed to reach my 60s without ever holding a games controller in my hands. My entire games experience is Asteroids in the Merrion St common room back in the early 80s. Because I only had daughters (now in their late 20s) they had absolutely no interest in video games as they grew up, so we ne...

John Bruton dead at 76 An honourable man. RIP. Failed as a politician though. If he was in any way competent he wouldn't have lost to Bertie in 97, then he would have been able to ride the Celtic Tiger to 10 years in power. Could have saved our country a lot of grief caused by FF's corruption at th...

I found it a real struggle to be honest. so, so slow. decent last 10 minutes. Danvers daughter is such a bad actress. Oh I much preferred it slow. Building tension instead of trying to force it. Plus finally they used backing music.. and what a difference! And yes.. a few bad actors in it... Compar...

Why do you think the NFL insists that many of its games remain on FTA? Why are NBA teams foregoing revenue in order to get games on FTA? The UK market is different to the US and Australia tbf. Watched "The end we start from" last night, largely because of the acclaim that Jodie Comer is getting. Don't waste your time. Slow, slow, and then even slower. Plot holes even Michael Bay would balk at. Zero tension (for an apocalyptic film that's quite a miss). Tropes rather than actual characters...

Finally got around to watching Nomadland. What a superb film.
Nothing happens but you are absolutely drawn into it. Frances McDormand is brilliant and is backed up by both the professional and amateur cast.
Really recommend it.

I think an inspection of every single bolt on every aircraft is probably the way to go before they fly again. How the fvck can they deliver with loose bolts? Human error.
