That and it's more of a profile/personality vote not on a political parties. I guarantee 90% of Irish people wouldn't know the name of the groupings in the EU Parliament

400 cases, 7 deaths.

Two of the deaths occurred in April, two occurred in March and three occurred in February.

Of the cases : 205are men, 193 are women; 72% are under 45 years of age; and, the median age is 35 years old.

There were 448 positive swabs today, from 19,099 processed; a positivity rate of 2.35%.

205+193 doesn't equal 400. Further evidence they waited to hit 400

What a scumbag. They are leading that family up the hill and are going to watch them tumble down. The other side of it they might be lunatics bringing it on themselves. There is no way there is any significant racism in the cops bar against young lads from Darndale and Rathkeale. They won't rest until they cause strife though will they

This can't be right.
I'd say a lot of the part time vaccinators are GPs who are vaccinating theiir own patients as the cohorts become eligible on Saturdays, as they still have their Mon - Fri work to do.

Reid said 11,500 vaccinators and they're for the increased demand later in the month/next month. Some will only be doing a small amount alright in the less populated areas.

And even in the more populated areas some GPs won't have a massive client list and might only have 10-15 in each age group.

To date, 635 Covid-19 cases have been identified through the centres. They were intended for those who were asymptomatic, but half of those who tested positive did have symptoms and 40 per cent have been subsequently identified as close contacts of confirmed cases.
Think I said this a few weeks ago, that there'd be some crossover between previous referrals and the new centres. Also said the bit about close contacts to someone offline only yesterday. People not ratting out their friends but suggesting they go to one of the centres.

So the fact that there's higher positivity in these centres isn't just down to asymptomatic community positivity but is actually increased by known contacts going for tests without, presumably, restricting their movements.

Presume that's the # of people they have available to vaccinate. Just reinforces the point that they are only constrained by supply.

If they had 4M odd doses on hand then those 15000 vaccinators would only need to do 267 each, which could be done in a week. Obviously logistics and supply are the main bottlenecks

Anyone hear the Israeli public health doctor on newstalk this evening? Very informative. Also would like to know why Ireland has Israel on the mandatory quarantine list when they’re light years ahead of us with vaccinations. The answer is either because
1. Our public health advisors are morons
2. Our country is massively anti Israel

Still not a reason to have Israel on the mandatory quarantine list.

They use Israel to travel out.

Nobody is going to allow one and not the other and not have a shit storm.

One would assume there are legions of Israelis flying here given the mentions here.

Like vaccinating Israelis and leaving a massive population you occupy with next to no vaccine rollout? That the doctors in Israel made that call you reckon?

The Palestinians are in charge of their own healthcare. Israel has actually donated over half of the 300,000 doses the Palestinians have received.

Sadly I don't think it's that they're anti Israel, it's because there's a "variant of concern". And despite the evidence of rapidly declining infections in Israel when everyone of those variants are in place, they ignore the real world evidence in front of them.

The variants of concern will never go away so long as you have academics looking for publicity. Boris Johnson using it as his excuse to lockdown at Christmas has done a hell of a lot of damage, as this was the buzzword that Zero Coviders used to get their cornerstone policy in place.

They will fight like hell to take anyone off the list and for as long as possible. And for the government, they are petrified now of ignoring any advice from "experts". 90% of the government tried to resist countries getting added last week and look where we are, the clowns at the edge of Europe further screwing their aviation industry.

fudge me that’s a bit anti Semitic. The Oslo accords transferred healthcare responsibilities to the Palestinian Authority. You can’t blame the Israelis for not vaccinating the Palestinians.

It is frankly laughable to be referencing the Oslo accords at this stage.
