I’m sure Dave reads the Irish daily papers on a regular basis and is not just talking out of his hole.

If vaccines are the magic solution then why does all of the EU not buy Russian/Chinese/Indian/Korean vaccines

The Russian even let you make their one themselves, they give you the recipe.

We are expected to wholeheartedly trust governments that would rather let people die apparently then talk to the Russians about a vaccine, yet tell us that vaccines are our only hope.

It's all a load of bollocks. UK doubled down on AZ and would rather then collateral damage of more blood clots and spin their way out of them then talk to cold War rivals or anyone.

Is there any of these governments, that want us all injected, that actually gives a fu"k about its citizens at all.
What a crock of old shit. Tbh the way lot's of these vaccines have been presented by the press and the subsequent reactions of politicians is total wankery..
Regarding clots, it's beena load of bollocks you catch covid you are much more lilely to get a clot than the 1 in a million chance for some of the jabs.
Talk on the press about percentage rates of success is pathetic and amounts to hysterical whataboutery.
Compare the vaccine efficacy of these covic jabs against their known efficay over the last 40 years of thr flu vaccine and you get an idea of whay a load of shit the msm is spouting.
Pathetic idividuals are cow towing and pandering to the morons on the press and at times ignoring scientific findings.
Some of the utter toss posted on here is hilarious, posts by scientific illiterates and bell ends who now fell fit to comment with rank stupidity upon matters they have not a jot of an idea about.

Twats.

Have a great afternoon of bollocks
You never answered the question on if cold War politics should trump vaccine distribution
Is it cold war politics (for Chinese and Russian vaccines) or the fact that you deal with governments whose transparency isn't the best in the world. Trust is an important matter in a lot of trades, even more so when you talk about public health matters. The Chinese have started acknowledging the weakness of their own vaccine. We don't have much information on the side effects.

And may be, if at the same time, the Russian were not rattling sabers on the European eastern borders, these talks could develop.

They’re doing nothing for 2 not 1 week.

They’ve consistently nicked weeks here and there for their appalling policies.

We live in strange times. There is almost a feeling of euphoria as restrictions are loosened in UK and pubs open. Meanwhile globally the pandemic is causing more new cases daily than ever before. This thing is not over.

Well, let's see how the different vaccines handle the different variants thrown at them. I suspect that, at least at the beginning, we'll need booster shots every 6m or every year, with a bit of the variants RNA in them as they morphe into new shape that our immune system doesn't recognize.

Of greater concern is all that world population left behind because their countries couldn't afford to throw millions at vaccine research and didn't have the clout to secure exclusive delivery contracts. A lot of country so far (especially in Asia) didn't suffer much but with new variant now sending younger people to hospital, the picture is likely to change.

We are making good progress but we are not out of the woods. And until we show a bit of solidarity across the world, we are not safe from a bad surprise.

didn't suffer much but with new variant now sending younger people to hospital, the picture is likely to change.

Stop the fear mongering

Yes you are right. Those are all lies.
Wonder why we worry.

I have heard that covid doesn't exist and that every death is currently caused by covid.

So rather than address the ludicrous fear mongering all you three can do is misrepresent the point I made.

Why spread fear ?

Where you have a point, Bimbo, is that you are right and we should not react emotionally to early reports of one trend or another an wait until scientists have completed their analysis.

I give you that point.

Now, it seems that there are consistent reports of more and more younger people being hospitalized, and as I posted, I was particularly shocked to see two of my colleagues needing to report to hospital despite being in their 30s. They had their lungs filling up and one was told she was lucky to be a mountain climber (she climbs in the Himalayas) with super efficient lungs because her X-Ray were horrible with half her lungs filled up.

That's what worries me but you are right, until data have been reviewed and proper epidemiological studies completed, we shouldn't rush to conclusions.

We have had lots of these variant stories, initially the Kent variant was reported as being more deadly, and the stories regarding Younger patients consistently coming only to be corrected a few weeks later when they’re not actually borne out from data.
