Ouch.
Not after that from Bryson!
Yep - 11-5, would be biggest come back ever….
If it was 11-5 the other way you could see it happening. Europe's only hope is Rahm, Garcia and..... Lowry?... are first three out and win to make the US worry. But even if they did triumph against the US's top order, is hard to see the rest of the lads getting 6 points

I don’t think that’s it. Many of the same players smashed US team in France. Could be we have not played as much through the pandemic, course set up favours their big hitters, home support demoralising our guys, rough cut back to avoid punishing wayward drives….

Harrington has made some poor calls - surely he had to split Rahm & Garcia in the hopes of creating 2x strong new partnerships?

US team have played well & some of the Europeans have been woefully off form

Sergio isn't that good, I doubt that would have yielded much. Sending Hatton out last night was wild but Lowry pulled him out of that.

It's supposed to be a top heavy team but it's too soon for Hovland and this version of McIlroy makes it almost impossible.

Mcilroy has been completely out of sorts. No magic. His Ryder Cup stats are actually pretty ordinary anyway.

Nah

Poulter and Westwood past it.

McIlroy, Hatton, Casey and Fleetwood woefully off form going into the match.

Fitzpatrick and Weisberger not up to it.

Only Rahm, Hovland, Garcia and Lowry are up for the job.

I know Casey wasn't great for the first part of his match on Friday but I thought he played solidly from the back nine on Friday on. Don't understand how he was left out of the fourballs but he'd have been paired with Lowry so it's moot.

Agree with all that.

What's astonishing is the number of European players who have emerged over the last 10 years or so only to fade into obscurity. Olesen, Pieters, Dubuisson, Manessaro etc etc. Add in Molinari, Kaymer etc falling off form cliffs and it leaves a massive hole. Allied with the strength of US golf right now and it's hard to see past a period of sustained US dominance.

This has not been a fun couple of days...Managed to follow Shane for a while yesterday afternoon which lifted my depression slightly. The US are playing out of their combined skins and the worrying thing is that they are mainly kids in there 20's....The US fans are clueless plum in the main, much worse than Brookline and that was bad... half the fuckers thought they were going to an ice hockey match I reckon. I might not leave the tent this afternoon.

The one positive of all the booing is that I've had plenty of opportunity to talk to the kids about how not to behave while supporting your team!

Has Stricker said anything/tried to rein them in?

Not that I've heard and you can imagine that the Sunday papers are GO USA..... not a mention of how not to behave on a golf course...but then again when their team are playing in hoodies, I guess they can't be castigated too much...

Grain of salt stuff, its Ryder Cup golf....the one time in the year Golf Fans can do the opposite of what they are supposed to do. Not pointing out the obvious but hearing complaints about fans when Rahm is the only guy keeping the Europeans from being completely skunked is just a bit of whingy-butt-hurtedness. (Yes, coining new phrase). I say old man, please pass the tea and crumpets. These Yanks are just heathens aren't they?

Booing the opposition for no other reason than they're the opposition is pathetic and is called out every time, whether we're winning or losing.

Darren Clarke had a tough task as Captain but I think Harrington has just been
awful in a lot of selections.
