Spirited Shartlets performance.

They’re never going to win but at least they’re giving it a go.

Scarlets are dreadful, J Davies should be nowhere near the Welsh squad.

WillGriff John hasn't delivered at all at scrum time since arriving in Llanelli, he looks too tall and ungainly when he packs down. I'd rather Samson Lee in the Wales squad after that performance.

Shocker all round though barring McNicoll and Jonny Williams

Taking us away from some of the awful results for the regions, well done Blues and Ospreys though good wins for them and hopefully many, many more.

Newport managed a 44-17 win over Ebbw Vale. They sit top of the Premier Cup East table, Aberavon top of the West table.

That's the pack I chose a few pages back. I'm still standing behind a Johnny Williams - Willis Halaholo midfield. They may both be 12s but they're the best we have, and in better form than the other options. That gives a back 3 of Lane, Adams, Mcnicholl...which is a bit questionable defensively but does at least give us attacking threat. Tomos at 9, then it's just a question of whether Pivac thinks Anscombe is ready for a start.

Yes we may go with Johnny Saes at 12 with Willis at 13. Foxy was a great player for us but his day has come and gone

Was watching Scrum V and they talked about Tshiunza's call up - Jamie Roberts admitted he'd not heard of him before. I get that a lot of players like to switch off from rugby when they're not playing, but surely they must have a passing interest in Wales under 20s or hear a few things about young players coming through? I thought it was an interesting admission...and, while I like the doc in his media role wouldn't we be better served by less talented sportsman taking these roles, the rugby geeks who are going to know (seemingly) everything? More squidge types...for example.

To be fair, there's a bit of a gap between the hype around Tshiunza and how he actually went for the U20s. Hoping he comes good though.

I don't disagree with that. He was very modest (in a pretty mediocre team) but I'd still expect someone who works in welsh rugby to have heard of him. I certainly don't expect them to jump on the Wales online hype train, just somewhere in between that and nothing.

I'd rather hear from, say, Ryan Jones in that kind of capacity. He knows the Welsh system and who the up and comers are inside out. The Jaw has too much going on outside rugby to provide any kind of expertise. I guess they bring him in for recognisability.

Very nicely put!

Would second having Ryan Jones over Roberts, think he’d be better placed for the ‘inside track’. A specialist ‘statto’ character like Squidge would be welcome but - whereas Squidge is amazing in his pre-recorded videos - how he’d get on live and [relatively] unscripted is another matter.

I’d be a lot more comfortable with Johnny Saesneg at 12, too. This would normally be Foxy’s cue to play an out-of-his skin, worldy. Mockers: do your job.

Wow, what a line-up there in the backs.

Great to see the return of The Golden Child just in time for Pivac to ignore him again. Also the man, the legend, the great, the FISH is back

Matthew Morgan. Jordan Williams. Dan Fish. There may be a ton of players missing but should be entertaining. Also delighted to see Rio Dyer back. Let's hope it's one of those we score-you score derbies rather than one of the two bald blokes fighting over a comb ones.
