It's like the Keenan peno, if it was a peno, it should have been a PT. Ref either shite or out of his depth.
Yeah, agreed. Keenan decision made no sense. Nor did the JGP one. I was expecting red and missing the next month if he made contact to be honest.
Leinster had penalty advantage before two? of their trys and Glasgow continued to be offside/jump the gun.
If you add up the penalties for negative play the 9 should have been yellowed as well as JGP.
We can have a whip around for his facial surgery.

That's a decent squad, should give Ospreys a good game
If cards land there could be 6 west cork men on the pitch at the same time, genuinely never thought that would be the case, I'm not even 40 and I can remember a time when some pubs down wesht would be reluctant to put on Irish rugby teams on the telly if a premiership game was on instead. Local clubs all doing very well and don't think this crop is a one off,
the development of rugby in West cork hass been a serious success story. Waterford also starting to deliver some serious talent. If other fringe rugby counties such as Tipp and Limerick can start producing talent we'll be laughing.

We had a vote in Limerick and decided we wanted quality over quantity, Craig Casey is our offering for the next 5 years.

My dad played with and against a lot of these guys, and as a result I know Davy Irwin and Trevor Ringland fairly well. Davy was a scary man back in the day by all accounts.

The next generations of the O'Connell's, Foley's, and Wood's are on the way through. Will be grand sure.

And yes, I'm claiming Axel and Wood as Limerick.

Glasgow's first "try" last night.

https://www.balls.ie/rugby/leinster-gla ... try-488664

Whatever about the ref missing it, surely the TMO should have said something ?

Same ref picked out Weir for tackling near a ruck when he was on the ground.

That was the 1984 grand slamming winning Australian team they beat . One of the interesting points the article raises is how that Ulster team isn’t revered in the same way as the Munster team who beat the ABs in ‘78, despite beating arguably stronger opposition

Earliest match i can remember between Ulster v Australia is around 1996/1997 time in Ravenhill.

James Topping scored a try. Australia had some dazzling moves though. I always thought Schmidt tried to copy their power play moves . Remember the Rob Kearney try in Twickenham 2014. That was a Brumbies move

Sensational Aussie team, and an equally sensational Ulster. Best non-international side I've ever seen from this neck of the woods in the amateur era. They could do it all; smash you up front, run you ragged or kick you to death. The 'aura' of the ABs explains a lot about why is seems to register more.

(Munster beat the Wallabies in 92 when they had just won a RWC; no mean achievement in itself. Think Munster have beaten OZ 2-3 times in all, so takes a bit of the edge off it too).

That Ulster side though, were bloody awesome.

 think that was Richie Wallace - as close as he'd get to mixing it up during one of the dust-ups during an absolute dogfight of a game.
