He's been generally decent, IMO.
I don't think he's been terrible or anything but I want to see the teams attacking a bit without being penalised.
I don't disagree. And was just reading your post as that last penalty was given. But teams have been taking the piss for years at ruck/tackle time.

That one seemed a bit soft. Technically correct, but made no difference to the play.

That's kinda the logic that allowed all sorts of 'clever' cheating for years though. No one wants a whistle fest but the ruck/tackle has been a mess for ages.

There is nowhere to go. Leinster's linespeed is superb; and time the outside-in choices superbly well to force the ball back inside. Really lovely to watch, if you're not at the wrong end of it...

So sorry for both teams

Brace has, as predicted, taken a baseball bat to this game.

A fúcking final and this CÚNT wants to show what a good boy he is at studying his laws.

Agree with Statto, I'm willing to take a bit of tedium in the first few matches to help resolve the ruck issues.

VDF motm, hmmm, not mine but I understand it.

Yeah, I hope as coaches/players get used to it it improves.
Depends how cynical it pays being when attack gets penalized like that.
I think it’s a fundamental mistake by world rugby and hopefully they roll it back
I dunno, something has to be done to stop players torpedoing into rucks.
7 has become an ACL wasteland the past few years in rugby.
The answer was to police supporting your own body weight properly.

But when they aren't torpedoing into rucks it seems a bit ridiculous, Lowry got done for merely having his hands on Stockdale

Mccloskey Ulster’s player of the game
Hume faded away
Our experienced bench had no impact but burns throwing an interception killed it
Leinster far too strong

Congratulations Leinster

The co-commentator fella decided it in the first 20 minutes.

The game was won on linespeed, which VDF led on for 70 minutes, so he deserves credit.

Doris technically motm though.

We've done what's required. I'm not saying we'll be brilliant next week but I'd be more worried if we hit top gear this week.

Well done Leinster, only 1 try and 1 penalty conceded in a semi and final tells its own story, if Ireland can build on that we'll be going places.
