Referees ... doesn't seem very "fair" but okay ...

REFEREE: Paul Williams (NZR)

WTF with the referees, and it's IN New Zealand ..

Surely having Aussie refs for the two kiwi games and vice versa makes a bit more sense?

Well, let's see.

If Tom Decent is right then I got the Props, 8, 9, 14 and 15 wrong.

So presumably ...

16 BPA
17 Sio
18 AAA
19 Hosea
20 Valetini ??
21 McDermott (Powell)?
22 Lolesio/Hodge/Simone
23 DHP

Is this a sure thing or just a random leak? Not a bad side really. Valentini is a surprise. No back up 7. We will be coming home with a very solid pack.

I like the team, even if it isn’t the one I wanted picked.

It’s a team that looks like it’s trying to win. Banks, Daugunu, Paisami and Wilson are threats. What I mean is that there are safer options; however the safer alternatives don’t have the POW!

I like that we are picking a team that is there to take it to them. Worried the scrum might be a bit creaky on the left side..... but fark it!

Carn the Wallabies! The whole Pacific is cheering you on!

Same. It's not a bad side, and Rennie would know better than us. Very skeptical about Slipper but I hope he proves me wrong. Looking forwards to kick-off.

You don't need a back up 7 in the 23 when the starting one always plays 80 mins...

In the off chance Hooper gets injured during the match Samu can fill in.

I also like the team, whilst also noting it’s not the one I’d pick

Toomua is an excellent defender and will be fine. Paisami is greatly under-rated and whilst not as breath-taking as JP, will do fine.

The pack is also well-rounded. Might hit a problem at scrum time perhaps, but the AB pack isn’t what it was :uhoh:

It’s clear Rennie is going to play a simple gameplan, which he can do with a pack capable of giving you that much go-forward.

Hasn't been officially announced yet, but I'm happy with that team.

It has a lot of excellent ball runners. Tupou, Phillip, LSL, Samu and Wilson can all shift bodies big time. I worry that the lineout won't be a strength, but it will be stronger than in the Days of Poop.

I’m OK with the lineout (ish)

It’s deffo a go-forward pack. All ball-runners. No traditional openside (not even a tweener like Liam Wright) says to me that instead of a spoiling gameplan, with letting them have possession, we’re going back to the future, tucking it inder the wing and head down.

Fast outside backs (two specialist wingers) and two tactical kicking inside backs. I expect to hit it up a few times and the spin it wide or some kick-passing too.

Win or lose, this is the sort of rugby I like to watch. Crash-bang-wallop then zinnnggg!

I think you’re right on the game plan shanks. Possession and running. I think they will mix it up a bit on ball tight / ball wide.

I prefer a 10-12 pivot to 10-15 for feel of the game. I suspect Banks will likely focus on defensive structure in support of wingers (as neither great kickers I thought).

Play with the ball and run - sounds entertaining...

I saw this in the paper and thought what a wibbling crock of shit. On the pitch Aus has done very little to earn anything more than a general level of respect - that has to be earned Shirley.

Off the pitch relations have broken down - ignoring rights and wrongs - it’s just a fact. That won’t change on the pitch.

- Letter in national paper - check
- bold font - 'However, they've lost respect for us as a rugby country' - check

Yep, kiwi's are intense - and noisy, over-the-top, demanding, blow hard, 'look-at-us' merchants ... yep, just stereotyped kiwi's bang on. Doesn't sound like anyone else...

You know you can just let things go through to the keeper, don't you? You don't need to comment with dribble like "Aussie don't show no respeck"

Honestly, Kiwi fans have the reputation of being massive plum online. Not saying you are, mind you, but the potential is there. It's almost a meme at this point.

A positive article or image about Australian rugby is like blood in the water.

This thread on reddit was enlightening.
