The Haast Eagle would have been something to behold.
The Haast's eagle (Hieraaetus moorei) is an extinct species of eagle that once lived in the South Island of New Zealand, commonly accepted to be the pouakai of Maori legend.[1] The species was the largest eagle known to have existed, with an estimated weight of 15 kilograms (33 lb) nearly double that of the Harpy eagle at 9 kilograms (20 lb).[2] Its massive size is explained as an evolutionary response to the size of its prey, the flightless moa, the largest of which could weigh 230 kg (510 lb).[3] Haast's eagle became extinct around 1400, after the moa were hunted to extinction by the first Māori.[4]

Game day, cant wait. Something that someone raised earlier was the amount of tackles the AB's had compared to the Wallabies. This was due to too much ball being kicked away by the AB's when they needed to hold on to it. I hope the coaches have addressed this as I am sure Rennie will also have spoken to White about kicking away good ball as he did for TKB when coaching the Chiefs.

If the AB's waste good ball, we are in trouble.

The EXCITE is building with proper nerves before a test, none of this we are gonna win by 50 feeling that had begun to creep in everytime we played the Wallabies.

WIth Drop Drop Reiko gone (hopefully the injury isnt to severe) thats 1 try we wont bomb, and one dodgy one we won't get (thanks Angus :D )

The only real unknown for the test now is which Haka gets performed, Ka Mate for an opponent who we think we will beat or Kapa O Pango for a "its on!" game we are not sure on. Im picking the later.

Ive just been reminded of the Eden pk record.. :( ...again as last week ill take a close loss although be pissed off if we lose be a margin of an unforced error which we had a lot of last week.
Getting the above or even a win would enforce Rennie has these guys are on the right track, a slaughter will just take us back to same ol same ol.
Interested to see if Rennie can make something of Hannigan, the back row seems more physically balanced this week, these guys have lead to team and dominate to win today.

I think the Wobs will win and probably do so relatively easily. Records count for bugger all when you’ve got a team affected by injury in key positions and the ABs are fielding a weak lock duo, along with a back row still trying to find its identity as a unit. The rush defense worked well last week and it’s my gloomy impression that the NZ hierarchy seem to have failed to learn how to deal with that for ...oh, centuries now. Mo’unga was put under serious pressure and go no protection or decent service from Smith, who never varies his game and is easily predicted. I reckon that’s where Rennie will have drilled your guys to shut us down.

We’ve enjoyed a long fat slice of winner’s cake for years. All things cycle through and it’s natural to expect a changing of the guard but I’m not looking forward to what I see as pretty much inevitable shifting of the balance in the rivalry. It’ll do the game the world of good in Aus if you do win though, along with healthy merchandise sales for all the followed em for years just never bought a jersey crowd.
They’re paying $5.30. Get on it.

The only problem with that is that Ioane has serious gas, much more than Barret and probably more than Clarke I would think. He would have been good to have at the back end of the game for the ABs.
