fudge yeah!!!

Its not just the result. I think. We’ve rattled the ABs before briefly before being blown away. But it’s a new generation - feels like all bets are off.

Even after the game seeing the players share a chat. 👍

His loss is massive. Imo, he’s the best player of the decade and the best lock I’ve seen. I didn’t think the kiwis would win the REC as soon as he did his shoulder. Has been the difference between the sides many times.

And he seems like such a cnut too.

I appreciate the Bird comparison.

I've long believed that Whitelock and Brodie (and to a lesser extent Barrett) have been the engine room of your success over the past decade or so. Must be the first time in a while without at least one of them starting. Paging Naki to the White courtsey phone, Naki to the white courtesey phone...
Chicago 2016 perhaps.
Who partnered Kaino that day?
Scott Barrett, who scored a try if I remember correctly.
Nah just looked it up. It was Patrick Tuipulotu. Scott Barrett was on the bench and came on and scored a try. Again a poor selection by Hansen. The reason Kaino was playing out of position at lock was that he thought Barrett was too inexperienced to start so he starts ths worlds best blindside flanker at lock and leaves an actual lock on the bench.

Actually he did the same thing in reverse at last year's RWC. Played a lock, Barrett, at blindside flanker.
So like Chicago 2016, Tuipulotu starts with a novice lock, with S Barrett on the bench.

That and Tuungafasi's haircut has me worried about the tight 5.

I am soooo looking forward to this game. This will let us know where this AB team and the coaches are at. The Wallabies will have belief and will be out to win and win well. Rennie is an astute coach and will have come up with a game plan to help them win and that worries me, but the AB's always play well at Eden Park, so I expect them to win well and am confident they will have that edge and hunger missing last week.

I like the selections such as Coles, ALB & SB, except like others on here, I cannot comprehend ALB & Goodhue in12 & 13 and should be swapped, but that may well happen during the game. Glad Rieko is on the bench, he has brain fades and I am not convinced he has the nous or temperament to play centre which is a hard position to master, he only rates as a wing for me and there are better in that position than him. I believe he is a liability at centre and he got caught out badly in defence last week, or never passed when he should so I expect that is why Goodhue is there. He needs to watch some Bruce Robertson videos to see how a real centre plays, how we are missing a centre like him right now. :|

Also good to see BB back and if the forwards can aim up, Mo'unga should have a better ride, you cant blame him for last week, he never got the support DC used to get. I am expecting the forwards to aim up this time and think the bench with S Barrett on it, will be the difference between the teams at the end of the game. I too am worried by the tight 5 especially the locks as Tuipoluto never fired a shot last week and the newcomer may not be up to it, we are light on good and consistent locks presently.

I expect a win by 8. If not, it will be down to Fosters coaching and I will then be in the Razor camp from there on.

It would also be good to to see a lot less ref whinging this week.

Like all 1st 5s he needs his pack working hard in front of him and the AB pack have been playing like millionaire playboys more and more over the last few years.

The Wallabies and their supporters should be feeling confident going into this game. The ABs are well and truly on the wane and it’ll be a few years before they are back up and performing in the way the hype merchants would have us believe is their birthright. The rot has been apparent since before the 2015 RWC and nothing in the organisation indicates any meaningful cultural shift is underway to counter it. Foster will continue the vibe driven approach to coaching the game he and Hansen employed together and serious coaches will defeat that through simple application of the basics... hard work and aggression.

Paid the equivalent of the annual GDP of Zimbabwe to buy 2 tickets for the South Stand on about 1/2 ways high up, so should be a great view.

Will make a day of it and head on early for some retail therapy prior to with a late lunch thrown in.

I just can't see an AB win. No penetration in the midfield, no beast ball running forwards, just going to be another massive defensive effort to try and stay in the game and keep it close.

Hopefully DR has seen something we haven't seen. My best bet is it relates to 1 the not-always effective cleanout of our own ball last week - NR providing more weight than Samu going in after the ball and 2 our lineout hiccups last week - ie providing more height at the back, which looks very healthy jumping-wise, with Wilson, NH, and then Wright to come on.
