They are indeed. Vs The Jocks.

17 points behind at halftime and the Scots are yet to break sweat.

They deserve a 6N spot.

However poor this match is, I promise you it is 400x more interesting than Treviso vs Scarlets. We’ve just had 30mins where nothing has happened.

This is not rugby by any measure none of these game should be a capped game.

Shows the deficiencies in the World Rankings. Italy are a far better team than Georgia but as as Tier 1 team they normally play other tier 1 teams and their rankings suffer.

Georgia as a tier 2 team normally play other tier 2 teams and they therefore win a lot more games against than Italy and their ranking benefits.

It was dire. I am so unenthused by our playing style I have forgotten the head coach's name.

Will Georgia be added to the 6N along with South Africa in 2021 to make it the 8N? An even number of teams is obviously much better from a scheduling and broadcasting point of view.

They'll just cut Italy instead, who can then play the Georgians in a 6 Nations "B".

I can't imagine the Italians will be pleased with that outcome. Or the middle class English Rugby fans who enjoy their biennial Rugby junket to Italy.

That's a myth. There has never been any South African TV money. The SARU is broke and South African players earn less than their Kiwi and Aussie counterparts.

Can't be that broke if they turned down 300,000,000 rand (£14,000,000) to sit out this years Rugby Championship

Watched this match on Sky Q (at 30x speed) looking for highlights. Seems like the only interesting things were 1. the try, 2. the (harsh) sending off.

One for the purists.

Liam Williams made a run but got penalised for not releasing the ball after he was tackled. That’s it.

The 6 nations turned down world rugby’s new league/vision and broadcasting deal primarily because they didn’t want relegation as the unions couldn’t afford to pay for the game if relegated.

I’m not sure how they could then turn around to one of the nations and replace them with another nation, which would signal the death pf rugby in Italy.

Agreed for geographical and economic reasons they will never cut Italy.

Also I can't see the 6N ever agreeing to relegation. Anybody who seriously thinks it will happen is (to quote Homer Simpson) living in a world of make believe, with flowers and bells and leprechauns and magic frogs with funny little hats.
