You'd be lucky to get a flat share for that 35m outside of London.

Don’t be silly.
OK. But you'd struggle to get a 1 bed flat for less within commuting distance.

https://www.zoopla.co.uk/to-rent/flats/ ... ource=home

Zoopla shows 1175 places to rent under £1000 per month within 3 miles of Waterloo station

Yes, a lot of those are room only or studios and it’s pounds not euros - but it wasn’t really a struggle to find properties.

As I said don’t be silly, there’s plenty even within the London Boroughs for a grand a month let alone commuting towns.

Imagine being global capital's strumpet for decades to encourage economic growth, taking great pains to educate your workforce by sending them to "college" for half a decade, and you're still poorer than the backward brexiteering brits (including those on the same island).

bimbo, you’d be a better adversary if you drop the silly personal insults. If you can’t find the words to counter a point, no don’t to resort to that. Take a break, take a few deep breaths and come back with some well constructed counterpoints.

I’m not hard right at all , that’s a silly slur and quite frankly you can’t back that with anything.

I’ve not said I don’t care if children “go hungry” that’s just a C69 style lie. I’ve said it’s nonsense that the policies are reactive to a millionaire signalling football player. These are very different things.

No one said you said it. Only your posts showed zero sympathy as you constantly made claims along the lines "It's not the governments place to feed kids. It should be their parents or they shouldn't have kids. Oh a millionaire footballer is bring it up, what does he know?" when people discuss feeding kids, usually with little to no references to the fact kids are hungry. Even your supposed experience in charity work is summarized as "well poor people aren't really that poor IMO".

Me using the phrase “most posters,” is indeed taking some liberties. But nobody has written hey bimbo you are kicking YOYO’s ass. Out of the 20 odd posters online here, maybe 5, 6 or 8 posters are checking in here every now and then. 3 posters confirming your ass kicking by me is a decent vote of confidence my way.

You've shown no critical thought at all. Only rehashing heartless right wing talking points. You've attacked and dismissed Rashford, shown little to no interest in a cheap scheme that will help ensure children don't go hungry and have dismissed the idea the poor can't maybe afford everything they should have.

I’ve clearly shown critical thought around the issue of agency, parental responsibility, tax payer value and democracy. You’ve wailed “but think of the children”.

None of the points raised about agency, responsibility tax payer value and democracy are “right wing”.

She’s pretty good this girl.
There are seriously people out there who think that 4.5m kids will starve to death during half term if their parents aren't given a £15 Sainsbury vouher to spend on booze?
1.3 million? 4.5 mill seems a bit of an exaggeration.
£15 to a poor family is a lot of money and can go a long way to feeding poor children.
They already get a lot of money towards feeding poor children. And more if needed. So you agree they won't starve then? Just a but more money for the parents?

4.5m seems to be the number of school meals that is being thrown about. Do you think it would be better targetted at 1.3m? Or do you think targeting more resources at those that actually need it is a better way?
You’re confusing me. The number of staving children is reported as 1.3 million. I can’t comment on your 4.5 million figure. Whether it is the number of children or meals, it’s not important. What’s important is that food is made available to these children during holiday periods.
Personally I’m not privy to how best to get the food to the children. Food vouchers seems a good approach rather than cash.

I doubt there one “starving” child in the UK. This is your first problem with your thoughts.

Yes, babies whose parents have died and not found for days are likely to be starving. Not sure there are 1.3m of those.

What about these examples?

As the article notes, IT'S NEGLECT.

These aren't children starving due to lack of funds, and giving their parents more cash isn't going to solve the issue.

The child was next to it's dead mother. Of course it was hungry. That is a f**king despicable thing to bring up.
You should read the whole article before making a tit out of yourself
This bit you mean?

Clarification added on 29 August 2020: The charity Positive Action In Housing later clarified its description of the condition of Mercy's baby, saying:

The reference to Mercy's baby "starving" was in relation to the window of time from August 18 to 22 when nobody had heard from her. It was not a reference to their general state before August 18.

https://cpag.org.uk/child-poverty/child ... nd-figures
There were 4.2 million children living in poverty in the UK in 2018-19. That's 30 per cent of children, or nine in a classroom of 30.1
Your 4.5 million figure seem to represent the number of children who’s families are below the poverty line.

My 1.3 million figure is from here I suppose. Children that depend on free school meals.
In England, about 1.3 million children claimed for free school meals in 2019 - about 15% of state-educated pupils. Analysis by the Food Foundation estimates a further 900,000 children in England may have sought free school meals since the start of the pandemic.
So my figure is closer to the minimal number of children that needs to be supported with free meals.

https://cpag.org.uk/child-poverty/measuring-poverty
Each year, the Government publishes a survey of income poverty in the UK called Households Below Average income (HBAI). This survey sets the poverty line in the UK at 60 per cent of the median UK household income. In other words, if a household’s income is less than 60 per cent of this average, HBAI considers them to be living in poverty. This is the definition of relative poverty, whereas absolute poverty is where a household’s income is less than 60 per cent of the median as it stood in 2011.

One in five (22 per cent) households in the UK have an income below the poverty line, after their housing costs are taken into account. 30 per cent of children live in households below the poverty line (after housing costs). This is almost double the poverty rate (16 per cent) for pensioners.

Calculating poverty after housing costs give a more accurate measure of how much families have to live on.
You are seriously, SERIOUSLY suggesting that all kids on free school meals are starving?

Refugee charity Positive Action in Housing said Ms Baguma had claimed asylum and lived in "extreme poverty".

The charity said Ms Baguma had contacted them several weeks ago saying she did not have enough money to look after herself or her child.
Probably faking it yeah.

No I’m not Rodney. The free school means helps prevent the children from having to go hungry.
