This is such a dissapointment and really bad for rugby in Australia too.
The Australian public had actually raised an eyebrow in rugby's direction after that first test. This shit show in a clinche game at home is going to have everyone turning off again quick smart and I fear they won't be so quick to give it another chance.
They're getting worse with every game they play.

Was catching and tackling banned in Ozzie during Covid?

Who is this f-cking commentator seriously?
You can't hit people in the face with your elbow or forearm and it makes absolutely no difference at all whether it's "intentional" or not.
Hitting people in the head is against the laws, period. Whether it was "accidental" or not is irrelevant.

A strong performance led by RMo and Big Sam.

Wilson benefitted from fewer slow motion replays, might be in some strife if cited.

Both yellow cards given against NZ were nothing and you'd shit your pants if your team-mate were pinged for half of those cll.
Re: Bled III: Aus v NZ: MATCH THREAD: Sydney 31st Oct
Mitigating circumstances exist for a reason Mog, calm down. That's why he saw yellow and not red, the same as the Wobs player should've seen for the shoulder into Cane's head.Mog The Almighty wrote: ↑Sat Oct 31, 2020 11:40 am Who is this f-cking commentator seriously?

That was predictable but still disappointing.
Hats off to the ABs. That first 40 was irresistible in tough conditions.
Lots for Rennie and Co to think about.

Watch a ruck.

Good game from the ABs. Richie Mo'unga PoM - I haven't seen him play that well all around before. The forwards were dominant and the backs looked polished. How long has Whitelock been doing that sterling work!?

Happy with all the YCs. You’ve got to take the ref out of the game. In all those cards they absolutely the ref get involved. That last card was all about going in to the wrong tackling zone.
Great result and pretty ruthless first half. Second half was dusty apart from the last few. Big drop in accuracy would be a concern and shouldn’t be papered over by the score.
Building into something nice here though.

Zero tolerance. Protect the head.
I’ve no problem with it, so long as it’s consistently applied.

I've played rugby for over 20 years in three different countries, that does not happen in every ruck at all. The first one you were whining about was clearly a card at any level every day of the week and could have been a red if the referee was in a bad mood.Sonny Blount wrote: ↑Sat Oct 31, 2020 11:44 amFFS happens all the time in every game.Mog The Almighty wrote: ↑Sat Oct 31, 2020 11:40 am Who is this f-cking commentator seriously?

Watch a ruck.
The second one was unfortunate, not intentional, etc. I get it. But it's f-cking clear and obvious to anyone with both eyes open that if you hit someone in the face with your forearm hard enough that you probaby broke their nose (judging from all the blood pissing out of it) that is against the laws. And no, that doesn't happen in every ruck.
It was unintentional, sure but still against the laws as they are refereed today, period, no arguments.
The All Blacks were by far the better side, deserved their huge win, be happy with that and quit whining about the few calls that went against your side, especially when you're talking such clear and obvious nonsense.

Yeah he played with a lot maturity tonight too, certainly not a one trick pony. Genuinely likeable too, he'll go far.

Scoreline good. Awful game of rugby. Bounce of the ball worked in the first half but the second half apart from 5 minutes at end was complete shit.
Cody Taylor's line outs give me the shits. Dane Coles is an incredible footballer.
The try the wobs scored was from a series of absolute fudge ups by the ABs.
Zero penetration, again, and then the fudge ups continued for 35 mins.
There were times when they were scared to touch the ball.
Michael Hooper: what a fucken warrior he is. Looks at the scoreboard, another hiding but he's giving it 110% to end and then has to give another losing speach.
