Awful news. I will always remember that try against NZ in 1999 and he was still starting and rapid for France at 35.

He was quite open about his depression in the past and childhood trauma from what I understand, is it being reported as suicide in France?

Yes, his life has been a chaos. He is an example of many of the players who, unknown to the public, struggle with depression and deep suffering.

Yes, in Saint Cloud. In a park. He jumped from the roof of a abandoned building. About 10m fall...

That is really sad.

I have wonderful memories of him and some of the rugby played by teams he was in. I didn't realise he had had such struggles. Hopefully no wife and kids to suffer?
