You could to a straight swap mitchell for CDG

I guess it will evolve as Kjs career evolves they might move him up the order

In the meantime he's arguably our best bowler atm..he was superb tonight with the ball
With Jamieson batting at 8, the selectors would be better off with a batting all-rounder rather than a bowling one. How many overs would CDG be asked to bowl in this test if he was playing instead of Mitchell?
CDG is no mug with the bat averaging about 37 and has opened the bowling before with reasonable success

If we are playing southee boult Jamieson then he can be the 4th seamer

Henry doesn't have enough variety to be an effective test bowler..CDG is a better test bowler than henry anyway

Henry’s a good bowler but needs the new ball - he won’t get it .

Williamson got a 74 point ranking lift after his 251 vs the West Indies. A similar rankings point lift after his 238 could see him as high as 960 + at the conclusion of this Test Match. Bradman holds the record at 964 followed by Steve Smith at 947 .... just saying :)

Achieving it in his 144th innings means only 12 batsmen in the history of the game did it quicker, a who's who of 11 of the greatest to have ever graced the crease, and Matthew Hayden.

FWIW Kane Williamson has extended his #1 ranking points to 919. This places him as the highest ranked NZ test cricketer ever .. above Richard Hadlee who got as high as 909 bowling ranking points. Of course as an all rounder you could add his batting points as well.

Williamson now 20 points off making the top 10 batting list of all time.

Combined with his captaincy and impeccable conduct record as a leader ... he’s a deserved current #1

Another 5 wicket bag takes him to 294 scalps in his 75 th test
At 3.95 wickets per test (with another bowling innings to go in this test) , CPIs per test of 1.69
and a index ratio of 0.004 this places Southee a bit ahead of James Anderson - who many on the board consider the greatest swinger in test history.
But how good was he at bowling?
He is no Joe Root
What has happened to Joe Root? I see his average is drifting towards the mid-40s and he has nearly fallen out of the top 10 in test rankings.
His permanent level has dropped off. Still capable of a significant innings once in a blue moon
How's that blue moon going?

Two full years of shit. I'm happy to see what he has done so far this year
