He means Smith scratching the guard which isn’t in dispute, just the motivation behind it - i.e. one of his idiosyncrasies which he does all the time vs. something else.

I don’t see the Siraj accusation playing out any other way than the investigation finding no evidence of racial slurs. That said, it would be hard to prove that Siraj didn’t think he heard things even if they weren’t said. It would be very difficult to prove that he knew he had just been heckled (without anything racial) unless he decided to admit that.
This. Storm in a teacup. The members who were ejected looked genuinely surprised and other eyewitness reports from fans nearby confirms this. If the heckling was of a racial nature it would have been confirmed by some, hopefully most, in earshot.

Not a good test for Oz all around. :((

dont think you will get Griey to understand that. "it is or it isn't"
Noncy's view of the world.

Cricketer on the boundary has a tough day.
Fans are sledging all day.
Player happens to be non white.
Player is over the sledging, complains to the umpire that he heard someone say black so n so but no one did.
Umpire stops play.
Ground security remove slegders, some innocents get removed, little boy cries cos his daddy was one yet did nothing wrong, doesnt get his heroes signature at lunch.
Cricket authority investigates.
Witnesses, some sitting right in front of those thrown out, claim there was nothing untoward said.
Footage played also cant confirm racist taunt.
Cricket world in uproar, labels country, its people all racist.
Half of NZ pile in on rugby Internet forums for a schadenfreude orgy causing sites to crash.
Cricket authority finds no issue.
Patrons sue cricket authority.
Everyone walks away like it never happened.
Next month in another test series another cricket player in the outer calls the umpire over after getting a hard time on the boundary saying he was called a black so n so
24/7 internet insomniac punter calls it a win for the non white man
rinse and repeat.
If you keep denying your country has a problem with casual racism you'll never get it sorted. Tim Paine was doing a Benny Hill Indian accent while sledging fer chrissakes.

So why has Paine and also Smith apologised for his childish behaviour if there wasn't any?
Did they?
Yep - but after searching I may have gotten the reasons for the apologies mixed up. So many reasons...
So, no they didn't apologise because it was all a beat up by the Indian and UK media, and NZ posters? ;)

Im talking about this incident, we have issues with racism here as certainly does yours, No Oz poster here is claiming racism doesn't exist.
But where is the evidence this incident was? No poster here can produce that but are still screaming from the bleachers that it is.

I find it, as Commander Spock would say, fascinating that the alleged racist taunt was "brown dog" and/or "monkey". These are exactly the sort of racist remarks Indians make about black people. They are not at all typical of the way Australian's express themselves, not insignificantly because they do not include the terms bastard, or cunt. It's as if someone has projected some Indian style racist language onto the Australian spectators to try and justify what happened.

I linked an article on this in my long post up hill somewhere.

They were straight on the phone to New Delhi whining, and apparently CA assured the BCCI they would talk to AC's favourite premier and immediately organise room service, maid service, access to the lifts, and other stuff rockstar types such as they are entitled to.

Obviously for certain people the fact that they come from a society where people in their position wouldn't expect to do those chores is something to mock them about.

Seriously Grievy I'm fine with it. You calling me a Paedo actually suits your personality so carry on. There is absolutely no need for you to lie like the tosser you are and pretend you don't know of the link between nonce and Paedo. You just make yourself look like an even bigger tosser

Or to be more precise, a "gay friendly" rugby team. The reason they went to the US in May was to play in the Bingham Cup.

But there's been no equating of gays with paedos. The OP, admittedly a troll, specifically asked if someone knew or played with this "nonce" from the Melbourne Chargers.
It wasn't a troll, I was just interested. a) the guy is a nonce and b) I didn't know his team was LGBT
So you are interested in this nonce and want to know about others involved in his scene. Makes sense.

Looks like a troll; works like a troll. Is a troll.
Why would he be "interested" ffs.....here isnt probably the place to find out, Im sure there are websites that could cater for his inquiries.

Good on Davey Warner for apologising on behalf of these racists. Always a tiny ugly minority. No representative of the majority.

They are looking for an excuse to bail out of the test. Last tour, they refused to play in Brisbane because they are scared of the fast pitch.

WTF are you talking about I dont know any paedophilic reference, dont own it.
Seriously Grievy I'm fine with it. You calling me a Paedo actually suits your personality so carry on. There is absolutely no need for you to lie like the tosser you are and pretend you don't know of the link between nonce and Paedo. You just make yourself look like an even bigger tosser

Why would he be "interested" ffs.....here isnt probably the place to find out, Im sure there are websites that could cater for his inquiries.

You missed the point.

The teams have to conform with Qld quarantine regulations. Both teams, the Australian team is staying at the Sofitel. CA booked the whole hotel. One of the Indian complaints is that they are the only people staying there. And the restaurants in the hotel are shut, and they aren't surrounded by adoring fans who pay for their dinner and drinks and want to lick their collective ball sack.

They are looking for reasons to duck and hopefully if they do, ICC will call the match forfeited and Oz win the series. Do you think the ICC will do that?

I think it's more likely they are not looking for a reason "to duck" and the final test will get underway and you will find something else to have a go about.

I hope so.

It could also be that CA and the BCCI quietly hired a publicity consultant to advise them how to stir up interest=$ in the series. If so, it's working.

Don't know if it is something to mock them about
Yes it is,the precious darlings. Guess where the Australian team is staying?

Doesn’t mean that Smith doesn’t have a bona fide personality disorder though.
Likewise but sports stars here get unlimited passes in life, see rugby league.
I thought Paine was doing a great job up to this point even if his cricket probably wasnt quite to a standard needed. He had the revious era behind him but its bubbled back up and worse led by him.
Hes lost me after this test and has shown to be a team liability with his keeping.
I think he has to go after this series.
Good comments, I agree.

As for Smith, he’s full OCD when it comes to batting. He probably scratches a mark when he takes a piss.

Thomas wrote: Wed Jan 13, 2021 6:08 am Have the Indian complained about Smith scratching around? It's not like he did it during an over or anything and I doubt it pissed Pant off who, going on the video, asked the umpire for his guard as any batsman does at the start of a session.
So why has Paine and also Smith apologised for his childish behaviour if there wasn't any?
Did they?
Yep - but after searching I may have gotten the reasons for the apologies mixed up. So many reasons...
So, no they didn't apologise because it was all a beat up by the Indian and UK media, and NZ posters? ;)
I originally passed on what I heard verbally on a News radio station here. I thought it was fact but could not find anything on written media. Happy to withdraw the statement that they apologised - perhaps it was wishful thinking.

Still there were childish acts from both this skipper and the previous one and it's about time they grew up - and probably about time the Aussie fans insist that they do.

“We are locked up in our rooms, have to make our own beds, clean our own toilets. Food is coming from a nearby Indian restaurant which will be given to us on our floor. We can’t move out of the floor that’s been designated to us,” the source said.

Such a short memory....or loss....Oz fans turned on Smith, Warner and the team after sandpapergate.
Everyone is aware Smith is on his second chance and will never get the captaincy again. Whether the ACB and team management remember that is another thing but this is the problem with modern sporting teams, their standards dont meet the pub test.

Where is the evidence?
He means Smith scratching the guard which isn’t in dispute, just the motivation behind it - i.e. one of his idiosyncrasies which he does all the time vs. something else.

I don’t see the Siraj accusation playing out any other way than the investigation finding no evidence of racial slurs. That said, it would be hard to prove that Siraj didn’t think he heard things even if they weren’t said. It would be very difficult to prove that he knew he had just been heckled (without anything racial) unless he decided to admit that.
dont think you will get Griey to understand that.

Taking the piss of a Kiwi/Aussie/Pommie/Saffa accent is fare game but once you move on to Indian its racist?
