I remember Ramsey not adding it to the raw egg as it breaks the egg down, he did add it while cooking. Essentially adding it later in the cooking process rather than earlier.feckwanker wrote: ↑Wed Feb 03, 2021 12:24 pm Interesting that Ramsey says not to add salt to the eggs while cooking while Heston does.

Pino’s introduced me to rice for breakfast and I’ve never looked back.
I went to a cafe for breakfast a few weeks ago and had nasi goreng instead of bacon and eggs. It was amazing. Especially with the pork belly and fried egg on top.Short Man Syndrome wrote: ↑Thu Feb 04, 2021 12:33 amPino’s introduced me to rice for breakfast and I’ve never looked back.
“No rice - no power!”
THAT'S what I'm talking about - Filipino's are not only the happiest, friendliest people I've ever met, they also don't fuck about when it comes to scran.Thomas wrote: ↑Thu Feb 04, 2021 2:14 amI went to a cafe for breakfast a few weeks ago and had nasi goreng instead of bacon and eggs. 15-20 min of stirring for scramble eggs.mr bungle wrote: ↑Wed Feb 03, 2021 11:45 amSimilar-ish to the Ramsay link I posted above. The trick being taking time to heat through. Scrambled really are a most fantastic way to eat eggs when done well.bimboman wrote: ↑Wed Feb 03, 2021 11:31 am You’ll never quick cook scrambled eggs again.

Nice, thanks for postingmr bungle wrote: ↑Wed Feb 03, 2021 11:16 am Poached used to be my thing until a mate cooked me scrambled like Gordon.

Now it’s about the only way I have them for breakfast.
Not worth it at home, but I always order my eggs scrambled in cafes. The fancy cafes near me always nail it, and there is an absolute ceiling on what you can charge for scrambled eggs and mushrooms on toast, so you get a banging brekkie for $13.LandOTurk wrote: ↑Thu Feb 04, 2021 4:14 am15-20 min of stirring for scramble eggs.mr bungle wrote: ↑Wed Feb 03, 2021 11:45 amSimilar-ish to the Ramsay link I posted above. Ramsay’s don’t take anywhere near that long. Heston likes to push the envelope. But by the sounds his are next level smooth.LandOTurk wrote: ↑Thu Feb 04, 2021 4:14 am15-20 min of stirring for scramble eggs.mr bungle wrote: ↑Wed Feb 03, 2021 11:45 amSimilar-ish to the Ramsay link I posted above. You do it just like he does? My FiL makes his with milk and it was meh...not overly familiar with creme fraiche but wondering if it would have the same effect.mr bungle wrote: ↑Thu Feb 04, 2021 6:46 amRamsay’s don’t take anywhere near that long. I’d recommend Ramsay’s way. It totally converted me from not liking scrambled to them now being my favoured way to enjoy eggs.
Boiled eggs are what I dislike in eggs. Like fried and scrambled eggs fine, LOVE poached eggs. I suppsoe I can tolerate runny boiled eggs (still 'meh') but not hard boiled ones.
You are wrong. A bit of sea salt and pepper...pop them in your gob and you're good to go.eldanielfire wrote: ↑Thu Feb 04, 2021 8:13 amBoiled eggs are what I dislike in eggs. The greatest meal form of egg is Eggs Benedict or Eggs Royals. And that requires poached eggs. Ergo poached is best.Thomas wrote: ↑Thu Feb 04, 2021 8:40 amYou are wrong. I’ll do the pan scrambled but we still take up to 1/2 an hour making them , on / off heat. We do it while cooking the rest of breakfast normally. It’s not a chore.
Mine would serve only wood pigeon , quail and Pheasant eggs - and be called “Game Ova”Short Man Syndrome wrote: ↑Thu Feb 04, 2021 5:35 am If I were to open an egg-themed cafe, I’d probably call it “Ovaries-Z”.

Yep, just insert into ramekins with your favourite ingrediants, place in a shallow tray of water and cook - easy peasy and lots of potential combos - eg:Clogs wrote: ↑Thu Feb 04, 2021 10:56 amOh please don't fvcking tease me. There is another way of cooking eggs?
Please...
