I'm Union, League, 7s.

I really don't enjoy 7s at all.

Depends on the league. A run of the mill game between two suburban Sydney teams? I couldn't give a shit. A State of Origin match? You better believe I'll be watching that.

Voted the same. Watch a lot of union, a fair bit of league but v. little 7s. I don't actively dislike it, tho'; just don't much care for it.

This. It surprises me how many Union fans hate 7s. A weekend at the 7s is great fun.

I used to love the Sevens. I had the great fortune to move to live and work in Hong Kong in the mid-seventies, and a couple of years later the Hong Kong Sevens cranked up. It was played at the old Football Club Stadium, in front of a couple of thousand or so spectators. For the next few years (before it all became corporatised), Sevens rugby was gloriously unstructured. Some of the best games were between the minnows of the sport. Even the top teams played in a very disorganised and unpredictable fashion.

I love watching my team (s) play rugby. Eastwood. The Wobbs. Never watch league any more, used to play it, used to love watching it, back in the sixties and seventies. Now I could not give a shite who wins, including SOO.

To be fair, he tried to lift the chair over his head, got about half way, yelled incoherently and was promptly escorted out. I don't think being a league fan was his only personal challenge.

Yeah. I can't think when, but 7's used to be so much fun. Now it's like a dull version of XV where you think "Where are half the players"? when they replay a try highlight. I have a suspicion that the push into the olympics is what has changed the 7s game into something less fun.

Union, League, Sevens.

Agree with the comments about Sevens being boring. Fun to play, but not so much to watch, unless its a massive piss up event where the matches are just background distraction.

Nobody in Adelaide has a clue what rugby is, let alone that there are two different versions, so no bogan chair hate to worry about. Only when Power are playing the Crows, then, lookout.

League over 7s all day long.

I watch ruggers for the manly clash of flesh on flesh, bone on bone; the genetic cream of contemporary manhood thudding into each other with warrior-like abandon.

7s is more physical than it's given credit for, but there's something very watchable about two sets of neanderthals smashing into each other.

In the past it was 15s > league > 7s. Now its 15s > the odd 7s final if it's on at a suitable time for me > league rarely and only if it is the Warriors or Kiwis but even them I'm watching less and less.

I used to love league back in the day, but now I find too many NRL players are absolute pieces of shit. Way too many stories out of the NRL the last few years of domestic violence, assaults, rape and boneheaded, macho, misogynistic behavior. I understand the same issues are in rugby but to a lesser extent (it appears to me anyway).

7s is a sport that if it ceased to exist tomorrow, I'd barely blink. I liked it more when it was a novelty. To me it just isn't a mainstream worthy sport.

I'd rather watch an amateur women's scrum-fest in the mud than any form of League including SOO.

All the power to those that love League, I've even tried my hardest to get into it. I just can't, it's so boring, monotonous and one-dimensional I can't believe anyone likes it. It's like they took a really basic training drill for rugby backs and made an entire game out of it. But each to their own.

A good game of league is better than a bad game of union and vice versa, so it really depends on what is hapenning in a game at the time as to which I will watch in what order.

7s? that's not a sport, it's a marketing exercise.

But for the league, I'll only watch the Kiwis and the Warriors and really don't give a shit about State of Origin.
