Scotland I think will genuinely fancy this one. Team Ireland have not looked great shapes and Scotland seem to be going well. Were fans allowed, I think we could see at 10 point + Scottish win but, as always, it'll depend on the battle of the packs.

Are the 6 counties playing for Scotland this year? Being the ‘old country’ for them?

Should be a cracker. Ireland's up front toughness usually wins through so let's see if Scotland can back up their win against the Saes

This will be when we see if the Scots are worth more than just a flash-in-the-pan this year.

They were bang up for it against England, but didn't actually look all that great against a deeply unfavoured Wales for an hour with 15 men.

Looking at the Irish lineup, there's very little to be excited about. I suspect Sunday's match will be one to forget (at least from an Irish POV).

15. Stuart Hogg CAPTAIN (Exeter Chiefs) – 82 caps

14. Sean Maitland (Saracens) – 51 caps
13. Chris Harris (Gloucester) – 25 caps
12. Sam Johnson (Glasgow Warriors) – 15 caps
11. Duhan van der Merwe (Edinburgh) – 7 caps

10. Finn Russell VICE CAPTAIN (Racing 92) – 53 caps
9. Ali Price (Glasgow Warriors) – 39 caps

1. Rory Sutherland (Edinburgh) – 13 caps
2. George Turner (Glasgow Warriors) – 14 caps
3. WP Nel (Edinburgh) – 42 caps
4. Scott Cummings (Glasgow Warriors) – 19 caps
5. Jonny Gray (Exeter Chiefs) – 63 caps
6. Jamie Ritchie VICE CAPTAIN (Edinburgh) – 24 caps
7. Hamish Watson (Edinburgh – 38 caps
8. Matt Fagerson (Glasgow Warriors) – 11 caps

Substitutes:
16. David Cherry (Edinburgh) – 2 caps
17. Jamie Bhatti (Bath Rugby) – 16 caps
18. Simon Berghan (Edinburgh) – 28 caps
19. Grant Gilchrist (Edinburgh) – 42 caps
20. Nick Haining (Edinburgh) – 5 caps
21. Scott Steele (Harlequins) – 2 caps
22. Huw Jones (Glasgow Warriors) – 28 caps
23. Darcy Graham (Edinburgh) – 16 caps

We are doomed.

No 10 cover on the bench. So Russell will get injured after 5mins, and Hogg will have to play 10. But Hogg limped off in Exeter's last game so may be carrying an injury. I am pretty sure Steele played 10 at school when he and the Wandering Spaniard were in the same team, so knowing Scotland he is probably covering 10 as well.

Gilchrist instead of Skinner, Townsend is having a laugh (and a not very funny one).

Bhatti on the bench. A few weeks out from getting discarded by Edinburgh, there is no one else left standing.

Third choice hooker with fourth choice on the bench.

Haining is barely getting picked for Edinburgh.

I may not bother watching.

Scotland with the stronger starting XV formwise, but then we're buggered when we need to start using the bench. Ireland's bench (please rename them the Pick n Micks) very strong, ours very not.

What does Skinner need to do?
