I'm not picking because I believe firmly in both options 1 and 2.

Since I already got covid and brushed it off like Taniela Tupou against a halfback, the only reason I have to take the vaccine is to protect the community. If that would even make a difference in the case of someone who has already had it.

But I will happily take the vaccine if it is indeed effective in that regard.

You can also expect the vaccine to give longer lasting protection.

Why?
Perhaps not longer lasting, but certainly more effective and robust. There is also the adjuvant factor.

It lowers your blood-alcohol level so you can drive home from the pub. Oh wait, you won't have a Vaccine Passport.....unlucky.

Piss off! I've never had a flu vaccine and don't see why I should be forced to have one. Flu didn't kill me the last 4 times I had it.

Good, because that's exactly what they're saying. Thankfully, some people, like yourself, take such responsibilities seriously. Others, like Dozy and Mick. just don't give a sh1t.

I voted the Gavin Henson option, as is long-standing tradition.

However, the true proper answer for myself is mostly to protect the community, but also a bit of protecting myself, and a dash of hollydays and alcopops

Why do you take a flu vaccine every year? Flu is arguably less dangerous than COVID and flu vaccine are a random shot (excuse the pun) at what strain may spread through your hemisphere.

I had a higher estimation for you then living for just pubs and breaks (which likely involve pubs)

We all like these things but they are in a very long list of likes for me and are sure as hell not as important as family, friends , the outdoors and many other things.

Well hiking in SH during our winter is part of breaks and yes I like the pub a lot.

Family and friends. I can do that now even during restrictions. Can't do the pubs or leave the country.

Really not bothered by pubs being shut - miss going out for a coffee/breakfast etc., going to sports events, a decent meal at a restaurant. Happy to Holiday in the UK, for now. Biggest thing, for me, by far, will be meeting up with family and friends and getting my Guitar Club up and running again.
