Fair point considering how the last year has gone.

Playing in front of empty stadiums? If so I won't even bother watching. I find watching spectator-free Rugby an absolutely soul destroying experience. It's like watching a training session. Good luck to all involved but this will quite clearly be the worst Lions tour ever.

Doesn't feel like a Lions tour at all.

There'll be no "Living with Lions" film made of this !

25 years ago ! Jesus.

Gats will bring them home. Can't beat class and breeding.

(Does that make me non-neutral?)

Toss up here, I suspect I may cheer for Lions, only because I think they will be underdogs. Won't worry me overly though as I a bit of a quiet fan of Bok rugby historically. Will certainly be up watching them!

Probably won't. Like I said, two teams that I have little/no emotional investment in playing in front of an empty venue holds on appeal for me. The whole point of a Lions tour is the traveling fans.

Hoping for a crushing Springbok victory so we can stop hearing about what a great coach Gatland is.

A crushing 0-3 series loss would go nicely with his 0-9 Chiefs, Super Rugby losing streak.

Gatland doesn't have a great record with Wales v SA, but he'll have more physical forwards at his disposal this time.

I think it was the Lions Tour of The Shire 16 years ago when the convoy of cars and camper vans travelling round the South Island from Invercargill to Dunedin to Christchurch could be seen from space.
