Not really considering Likud only got 25% of the votes and in May Israel's president has asked the leader of the centrist Yesh Atid party (14%), Yair Lapid, to try to form a government.

Forming a coalition is not democracy, it's about bribing politicians with favours. Fact remains that only 25% of Israeli voted for Likud and that Netanyahu was unable to form a coalition after the 2021 elections. Currently he's ruling because efforts by the opposition to form a government was abandoned when the current Israel/Palestinian problems started and he was the sitting Prime Minister. Hamas played into Netanyahu's hands, allowing him to retain power for a while longer

But the can vote in Israel which de facto rules the West Bank & East Jerusalem thereby giving them a direct say in what happens in the areas they live in whilst the Palestinians who vastly outnumber them in these areas don't. Is that the kind of democracy you mean?

Israeli choice of plebiscite is their democratic choice. The West Bank isn’t ruled in the way you describe.

Anyway we are discussing Gaza and their lack of democracy.

In short: Arab Israelis who live in Israel can vote, those in East Jerusalem, West Bank and Gaza (the occupied territories) can't vote in national elections. However Jewish Israelis who live there can

I can only think you’re confused about the meaning of the word apartheid and are trying to ignore the regional areas within the West Bank and that some are governed by the Israelis and those people are represented, and some are managed by the Palestine state and are not so governed.

It’s an obvious democratic success.

The Palestinian 'enclaves' are administered by Fatah AND the Israeli military. All areas are under occupation.

I don't think you're racist but you are deeply unpleasant if you think the Palestinians have any real semblance of democracy.

Only the Israeli controlled areas of the West Bank have democracy that’s true. The Palestinians have every opportunity to find leaders who can be reasonable, they fail in this task.

I’m quite glad your view of mine are that they’re “deeply unpleasant “, I’d hate to share in yours.
