Cadbury Old Gold Wallabies

Im glad there will be no future controversy with booze or gambling which will be probably banned from advertising in the future.
‘They are perfect’: Cadbury revealed as Wallabies’ new major sponsor
By Sam Phillips
May 13, 2021 — 10.00am

Cadbury will be the Wallabies’ major sponsor for the next five years.

Rugby Australia’s 30-year partnership with Qantas ceased at the end of last year and the game’s governing body has been in the hunt for a new major sponsor ever since.

Rugby Australia revealed the partnership on Thursday morning.

“The partnership will see the Cadbury logo take pride of place on the front of the Wallabies jersey for Test matches and on training apparel for the next five years,” a statement read.

“Cadbury will also be a major partner of Buildcorp Wallaroos with their logo to be on the back left of the Wallaroos shorts.

“The iconic brands will also look to combine further off the field with opportunities for product integration right across Australia.”

The Qantas deal was worth about $5 million in cash and contra per year. It is not yet known whether the Cadbury agreement is worth a similar amount to RA, which reported a $27 million loss at last month’s AGM.

“Just like the Wallabies, Cadbury are an iconic brand who have stayed at the very top of their game for generations. I want to thank them for joining us on this journey ahead,” RA chair Hamish McLennan said.

“I have spent my life working with great brands and there is no better brand than Cadbury in terms of its values and its success, and they are perfect for Australian rugby.”

McLennan, Rugby Australia chief executive Andy Marinos and Wallabies coach Dave Rennie will all front the media on Thursday morning.

He seems to be making the right move (except not scheduling the 3rd test last year in Brisbane where the Wobs have a better record).

I'd give Raelene some credit for moving away from Foxtel as well.

Things are looking positive for Aussie rugby.

I still feel 2023 is too early for the team, but 2027 would be peaking..

(Still a bunch of cnuts of course)

Cadbury is a loathsome Orangutan killing company that is displacing innocent villagers', passionately championing biological genocide and actively fostering ecological monoculture.

More importantly, their biscuits and chocolate are vile, palm oil and corn syrup sodden poison.

Whittakers is a much tastier, and environmentally sound, brand of chocolate.

Whittakers should chuck a few shekels the ABs (as a minor minor sponsor) way so they can have chocolate off.

I prefer Whittakers broadly but still enjoy some Cadbury flavours.

Nah - I would love to see the Wallabies run out in a Canterbury jersey emblazoned with the Whittakers logo against the All Blacks.

Yes. Made in Porirua which is a shanty town on the outskirts of Wellington. I heard they are proponents of slave labour.

It's an interesting psychological quirk that makes it impossible to simply be proud of and talk-up your own good things without also simultaneously dragging down someone else's

In this case, yes, this literally about someone or something else.

Something not kiwi-related. Which presumably, is part of the problem, amirite?

Catering to the regional market. Their products are completely different in the UK - they don't offer nearly the range over over-sweetened cake bar varieties on show in Aus and NZ. Cadbury is now owned by Kraft (spit) and is licensed for manufacture in the States to Hershey (spit), two makers of filthsome over-sweetened rubbish. The day they finally yield and abandon their origin lines is the day I stop eating them.

The foreign confectionary no less. They could have at least been sponsored by Violet Crumble.

Considering the background of the oompa loompas in the source material, your idea that the coach is a white guy surrounded by people from a certain tribe is outright racist and you should immediately retract!
