Really looking forward to this game. The Waratahs have been the competition's big improvers, and pushed an All Black laden Blues team all the way at Eden Park. The Crusaders will be fatigued and battered, having played the Chiefs, Brumbies and Reds over the last three weeks. They must surely be vulnerable for an upset loss? The Waratahs have a fantastic backrow and arguably the form 9 in the comp in Jake Gordon. I expect this will be a tight, tough contest.

The Crusaders have never won at WIN Stadium*, are on the road and are conceding nearly 30 points per game in the TT competition. There is plenty to work on.

* based off two minutes of googling.

Was up that way last week with a night at Gerringong. Beautiful little beach side town.
I hope the Tahs have a real crack and don’t go kicking the ball away needlessly. Hold on to it and keep trucking it up the guts would be my advice. Get up into the Crusaders faces, ruffle some hair on defence and slow the game down as much as possible. Old school rugby.

It used to be. I worked at the Steelworks in the sixties, the whole neighbourhood was caked in red dust. It is lot nicer now, from what I have seen.

I sometimes play that footage in the bedroom when I've had too many drinks and need some help achieving an erection.

I think it is Mt Druitt by the sea - even the nice beach has been ruined by sticking a giant steelworks on the southern end of it.

Imagine being a Crusaders fan. Not even worrying about games or getting anxious knowing that you could play with 12 on the pitch and still win. Thinking about what you'll eat before heading to the match. Must be nice.

I was as worried as I have ever been before the Reds match, not sure we would win up there let alone get a much needed bonus point. It just happened to be one of those performances out of the box, not sure I have seen them play that good for quite some time.

I’m not that confident this week either, we’ve all seen teams play almost the perfect game only to follow with absolute shit the next.

I reckon the Tahs are a chance, however slim that may be.

LOL

Just ignore Shrekles. If the Garden of Eden was in Australia, he'd find something bitter and chippy to say about it.

Wollongong is a very nice little city, with delightful beachside surburbs. They didn't 'stick' a steelworks there, it's been there since like 1900, when proximity to the sea was more of a consideration than what some future-whinger might think is important.

And it's in Port Kembla, a full 8Km from the city centre. Even Kembla is nicer now, as they've cleaned it up in the post industrial age.

How often do you go to Wollongong? I am there 3-4 times a year and it is just a giant eyesore. The beach side towns to the north and south (except Kiama) leave it for dead.

My daughter does learning labs at the university. My wife and I tend to drive up to Scarborough for lunch at the pub overlooking the ocean instead of hanging around in Wollongong.

 Even a cursory glance at at google maps shows Scarborough is a 28 min drive north from Wollongong. Past other small towns like Coledale, Austinmer, Bulli, Corrimal....

I can understand why people who actually live in Wollongong would want to claim these places as part of Wollongong however.

Better than the odds of the Tahs winning here?

It's not so much worrying about what to eat beforehand, it's more about going straight deodorant or adding an aftershave to the mix. Too much cologne, or not enough? Choose something with a floral base, or go with a muskier scent with a heavier base? Shit like that can't betaken lightly.
