What?

You have to suddenly drop.

Always being low is not mitigation.
Let's all just agree that it's the worst decision of the competition and this referee is an embarrassment to all New Zealanders?
Lomax will be cited after this game, and it will be a fairly straightforward call to see him banned for a few weeks. The ref clearly got this wrong.
Typical cantabs.

Good game.

A couple of observations.

1. Tupou is having a poor game.
2. Williams is blowing the biggest homer I've seen in a long time.

The Reds are winning a penalty at every scrum. Surely the THP deserves some credit for that?

Fair enough. I probably should have said in the loose, where he normally shines. He should stick to the dark arts tonight I think. Ball running isn't working for him.

Guilty as charged. Please laugh at Kiwi fans like I have laughed at South African fans over many years about their dishonest referee. Please make fun of our crooked referees whenever you feel like it. As a nation we deserve it after that ridiculous decision.
If it was cricket you'd be asking to look at bank accounts, genuinely rotten work. Best case scenario is that he's just not up to refereeing at this level and shouldn't get a gig again for a good long while.

You can call us whatever names you like, but the Canes benefited from the worst decision made by a referee in the pro era.

The Kirifi one last week was just as bad tbh

Refs all over the show. The play before the card the Reds made 30m after a scrum penalty and then he went back for no advantage!?

The ref finds it offensive that you would notice let alone comment. They don't do not straight anymore.( Note the Canes hooker amongst others steps 1m to his side of line of touch before throwing)

NZ Rugby referees’ boss Bryce Lawrence has defended his decision not to punish Paul Williams after he was involved in 2 major blunders last weekend.

Williams, the TMO for both Super Rugby Aotearoa round 3 matches in Christchurch and Auckland, came under public scrutiny for botched decisions in the games between the Crusaders and Chiefs last Saturday night and the Blues and Highlanders the following day.
The first controversy flared up at Orangetheory Stadium when referee James Doleman and Williams failed to notice Richie Mo’unga had flung a pass forward by several metres, leading to a penalty try to the Crusaders and Brad Weber being yellow carded for a professional foul.

That YC decision is not able to be defended. Liam Wright should have done a Barry Muir and led his team off the field.
