From nowhere Jake brought them together again. Semis are always tight scoring games though
WP have two flankers on lock, they'll struggle for possession. No way they can beat the Bulls.Goosen will pepper Sergeal with the high ones. He is always a risk in 15.

The winner of this game will win the CC.

At one stage I thought Bulls will win by 50. They nearly did reach 50. They have the pack of forwards and backline. Their combos at the back are working well. Tambwe Mapoe Vorster and Hendricks Goosen Burger.
WP did well to get closer on the score but their defense wasn't good enough

I expect the Bulls to win easy. No one can beat them.

However I really enjoy the new gameplan from WP. No box kicking kak. Ball in hand and some great tries. If we can get our best pack back we,ll do much better.

Also thought the TMO was blind. That good try by Edwill was cancelled. Vok know why. That changed the game.

Tight call that but he did lose control of the ball before grounding. Maybe if he doesn't try unnecessary flashy dives he might have held on :P

Jake busy getting Bismark du Plessis on board before United Rugby in few weeks time. Once at training he had Fourie du Preez to teach Ivan Van Zyl and Papier how to nr9. What a fantastic break and try from around the scrum from far out the next game from Van Zyl. He will also use Bismark to coach nr2s aswell as play.
Duane Vermeulen also busy extending as he will play in the next WC and beyond.

Sharks:
The most significant selection is Springbok Thomas du Toit at tighthead.
Du Toit returned from the Bok team, currently in Australia for the Rugby Championship, due to a ‘family bereavement’.

Sharks: 15 Curwin Bosch, 14 Yaw Penxe, 13 Werner Kok, 12 Marius Louw, 11 Thaakir Abrahams, 10 Lionel Cronje, 9 Sanele Nohamba, 8 Phepsi Buthelezi (captain), 7 Henco Venter, 6 Dylan Richardson, 5 Gerbrandt Grobler, 4 Le Roux Roets, 3 Thomas du Toit, 2 Kerron van Vuuren, 1 Khwezi Mona.
Replacements: 16 Dan Jooste, 17 Ntuthuko Mchunu, 18 Khutha Mchunu, 19 Thembelani Bholi, 20 Reniel Hugo, 21 Lucky Dlepu, 22 Jeremy Ward, 23 Anthony Volmink.

One is so used to Bulls winning everything
but they have only 4 in the Springbok squad while Sharks have 9. Good to see Sharks picked Du Toit ..Will make it more even upfront. Goosen out deduct 10 from Bulls as he normally creates 2 tries or more with straight flat passes to his wings and he scores himself

Jacque du Plessis back from France on the bench. Bismark also signed 2 years for the Bulls and is returning from France. Johan Grobbelaar Bulls nr1 hooker is with Springboks in Australia. Sharks better scrum time. Both teams have try scoring machines.Bosch and Cronje the better kickers with Goosen out. Sharks also have centres that can tackle against Vorster Mapoe. Massive game coming up

The British Lions Sir Donald Currie donated the Cup to the team that did best against them and Griquas beat them and got the Cup. So your'e right. Then Griquas donated it to Saru and WP won the Currie Cup first time it was played for in tournament format held the next year

Vorster right through Bulls then Lionel Mapoe Sharks couldn't tackle the 2 centres for a start.
FT 44 - 10.

Zakkie played well. He went to the Sharks Academy and they did not offer him a contract, having Bart Simpson & kie. So he went the long way via Kovsies, Griquas before White sign him at the Bulls. His young boetie Jandre is also at the Bulls playing 10 for the u20s.

Zak Burger en sy kleinboetie. Jake's know how. Who would think drawing in these 2 basically unknown before players. Zak played well for Griquas though and caught the eye. Combrink Springbok wing now coming into the mix aswell.

Time to move to the URC. Playing in one log mean we should support all Saffer teams.
