Bulls will play in the RC final and start their CC on the same day at Loftus plus no Boks.

Once the BIL tour starts, it will test the CC teams depth and later the PRO16.

Lots of rugby lining up

Sharks hardest hit. They lose 9 players to the Springboks and will be without them for the CC.
W.P lose 8
Bulls 5
Cheetahs 1
Lions 1
The Pumas already ran the top 4 close and could now bag some big wins. Jimmy Stonehouse factor
Cheetahs got players back from overseas Robert Ebersohn latest from France.
Current Champs Jake White's Bulls

An unknown Bulls team with their top guns in the Rainbow Cup final. Theyr'e mostly from Pta clubs.
Great to see the Pumas 10 Eddie Fouche' is playing more after his horrible injury last year
Lions will miss their one bok. Pumas midfield are big men Erich Cronje'. Mj Pelser's absence can give Pumas breakdown ball for their speedsters

The Lions have officially announced that loose forward Hacjivah Dayimani will be joining Western Province on a loan deal until the end of the Currie Cup.

As reported by this website, Western Province Rugby had an interest in bringing Dayimani to the Cape, especially as they have lost a few players in their back-row department this year.

Siya Kolisi headed to the Sharks. Juarno Augustus is soon off to England, to where Jaco Coetzee departed earlier this year. Willie Engelbrecht is back at the Pumas after his loan spell during the Rainbow Cup SA. Meanwhile, Pieter-Steph du Toit is currently with the Springboks and could seal a move to Japan.

The Lions confirmed on social media on Thursday afternoon that Dayimani will be joining Western Province, but on a loan deal for the duration of the Currie Cup.

Both unions will field depleted teams in Pretoria on Saturday. In the Bulls’ case, 44 players cannot be considered for Saturday’s clash.

While Western Province will be without 28 players.

JJ Kotze (Maties) and Neil Tolken (UCT) had dream debuts for WP.

Evan Roos was a good swop for Kolisi on this level.

There is life after departing Springbokke IF you have a good youth structure.

FT: Lions 38 - 32 WP

Lions playing with 13 men for 10 of the last 12 minutes

Next Lions game is vs the BILs. It going to be a slaughter, unfortunately.

But hopefully not as bad as the 10-74 in 2009 when the (Joburg) Lions players were on strike

Two yellows at about 68 minutes with the score at 38-10. Lions were fortunate that they got the players back for the last two minutes to help them play out the game
