"The Voice of Reason". FFS

I'm not listening to some asshat calling himself "The Voice of Reason" who thinks the "Evil" BBC want to "destroy him". That is covered in bad smells.

This guy is a lunatic, like genuinely deranged. Seriously google him, got sacked by BBC Radio Leeds and has gone full on mentalist on youtube but to add to that he's also started stalking amateur theatre critics, threatened to sue anyone who says stuff he doesn't like and so on.

There was a big thread about him on F365 a few months ago, I will try and find it, but the online hounding he's done to one particular guy is shocking, getting his parent's phone number somehow and calling them up saying their son was going to kill himself etc.

So Belfield is clearly wildly arrogant, aggressive, paranoid and intensely stupid. He's basically another Quentin Poulsen.

I wonder what why Mick would be in his corner...

He'll just worm his way out of it by saying "I didn't claim to have any views one way or another"

Would you spend more or less than 50% of your day trawling through lunatic videos on YouTube?

Do you know when you hear how social media is damaging society because their business model incentivises taking lunatics down the rabbit hole? What they’re saying is that people like you are becoming lunatics.

I’m suspect you started off pursuing interests and probably started with standard stuff, but these days the shit you think is interesting is f*cking crazy. I truly hope you can find a way to get off the internet and end this descent.

Belfield is funny as hell, his youtube channel is great.

I haven't really followed the BBC feud closely but if on the face of it what he says is true then it's all rather disturbing and I hope they receive comeuppance.

Although i suspect there are a few details "missed" out of his story which would out in in a different perspective,

To be fair to you Mick, you're not completely wrong.

It's all a bit squirly though. You weren't seriously suggesting anyone follow the story because they guy is a nutter and that makes it interesting were you?

"Might be worth following the story" - can't see anything wrong with this. As Rugby2023 said, if what he says is true then it all sounds pretty shady.

Having then read a fair bit of Earl's link I was thinking this guy reminds me of someone I knew who was bipolar. Whether he's right or wrong the bloke is certainly not in control of his emotions and comes across as a loon.

This story might be worth following.

Great news for Mick's mate:

https://twitter.com/mwilliamsthomas/sta ... 9%3Fs%3D21

"Alex Belfield will be charged at court with 12 counts of stalking involving fear of violence or serious alarm or distress. In relation to 8 complainants over last 10 years ."

It's just the BBC out to get him sure
