Don't know home that well tbh, don't really listen to him an awful lot. But he has soul.

Gingers don't have souls

That's a fair point

I spent hours on the site below yesterday.
Some great bits in this recording of a session in Slattery's from 1973.

A topical song. I've see it on some FB feeds, but can't remember if I've seen it on PR.

An Evening with John Prine was replayed this afternoon - it's an hour long.

When flying into Dublin he would sign the boarding card Johhny O'Prine. Married Fiona Whelan...

They would drive out to the Burren sometimes in the summer, and JP would say to Fiona "Ring Creedon and tell him we're listening!"

John Prine RIP :( :( :(

Thanks for the link. I had heard it advertised, but didn't note the time.
I had never heard his name before, but had seen his name crop up in some FB posts when he was first hospitalised. These were made by ex some London musicians that live in Clare, and elsewhere in Ireland. I had wondered at the time did these guys know him personally, and realise now they most probably did.
Despite never having heard his name, or heard him singing, I have heard his song, The Speed of Loneliness a 1000 times. I think every one playing a guitar in the pub sings it.

RIP
