Doesn't sound like Adlington is that realistic a medal hope according to many pundits. Not sure if the 800 is a better bet?

She eased off while being miles ahead in her heat. Probably thouht it was safe. Other heats were faster, those performers might have drained their tanks more for the need to qualify and Adlington certainly has more to give.

She came first in her qualifier.

Qualification to the final is based on time, so you can win your qualifier and still not qualify as there were three qualifing races for the final.

I'm finding it hard to keep track of all this Olympics shit. I'm usually a highlights man and hear about what's happened then tune in to see if we've done well. Just walked into my local to watch the football and loads of pissed people were going mental as they thought renwick had just won a bronze. I was lifted by this then realised he'd won fudge all.

These UAE lads look quite good.
