That was seriously grim. Think england handled it superbly from Southgate, to the players to the FA. Bulgaria’s manager is a disgrace, yet another nation refusing to even engage with the problem. Should have put 10 past the c unts.

All the guy was saying is they don't have a problem with black players being abused in domestic football but in England we do have that problem. My guess would be when it happens in their domestic football no one complains and it goes unreported. Much like it would have done in England 30 years ago. However he did say after the game that he never heard any recist abuse so yo can mark him down as a confirmed bare faced liar.croyals wrote:That was seriously grim. There is clearly still an appetite in England for some supporters to behave the way those Bulgarians did tonight. The difference is they know they can't because they would be getting life bans and a possible stint in prison.
UEFA do not give a shit. They know the only way to get a grip on this is to prevent ordinary Bulgarians from seeing their team play. Either through banning the team or making them play behind closed doors. I see another two bob fine coming their way.

The reports relating to events at Haringey Borough FC this afternoon, in The FA Cup tie with Yeovil Town, are of alleged racist abuse aimed at their goalkeeper, Douglas Pajetat, and yet again means players are continuing to receive discriminatory abuse while doing their job.
The Haringey manager and players took swift and decisive action as a result of the abuse, similar to that taken by the England team out in Bulgaria just five days ago.
Kick It Out has informed The FA and will support the club in identifying the offender(s) to ensure appropriate action is taken and strong punishment issued.
We would also like to offer our full support to Douglas and all at Haringey Borough FC.
Trouble now in English football.

Indeed it is, unfortunately because we're 'better' at challenging it than other nations people get complacent.c69 wrote:Racism in English football is rife.Sun Tzu wrote:Very sad to see really but Brexit has given a voice to these morons.Plato'sCave wrote:https://mobile.twitter.com/kickitout/st ... 8109572097

Comfortable start from The European Champions here. United giving all they've got but unable to lay a glove.
Easy win in the end.

Fine, we'll just have to beat the FA as well then. No problem.

Re: The OFFICIAL English and European Football (soccer) thre
I'm all for giving managers time, but Emery doesn't seem to have much of a clue and this year seems like a golden chance for Arsenal to get back into the CL with any sort of competent season. Lampard may come good at Chelsea but he and his decent crop of kids will probably take a season to really bed in, Tottenham appear f**ked and Man U are a total mess.
Re: The OFFICIAL English and European Football (soccer) thre
There's something a bit tragic and try-hard about Emery. Not convinced he's absolutely top-drawer but he did win many Europa League titles so is clearly capable in the right environment. The key thing I'd throw at him at this point is that Arsenal don't seem to be driving towards having a clearly discernible style of play. I'm not one of these Danny Mills wankers who talks interminably about "identity" as a panacea but it's not clear from week to week that Arsenal are trying to correct their shortcomings and work towards a coherent pattern or way of playing, whether as a team or within the defence and midfield components in isolation. Don't get me wrong, they're a decent team that can trouble most, but they continue to show the same frailties in a range of circumstances and against a range of types of opposition.village wrote:I'm all for giving managers time, but Emery doesn't seem to have much of a clue and this year seems like a golden chance for Arsenal to get back into the CL with any sort of competent season. So, can make an argument that VAR has cost Watford at least four points (win at Newcastle, win at Spurs)
