Have they snuck Sonja in to interview Sterling? Dealt with it pretty handily.

Good win but can't see them troubling the top few teams
Despite the good run at the last world cup, I read somewhere that it's it a case England effectively lose in the knock-outs to the first team ranked above them in just about every tournament for the past decade or few decades.

The takeaway was in some ways their results have never changed in each tournament. The lost 3 times in the supposed great 2018 run, but it was performance wise no better or worse than before.

I did watch the England game. Why didn't they kick it over the top more to Stirling? My guess was that it was because of the heat and they didn't want to tire out. But it worked well at the start.

Pleased for the Nederlands, the team I'm supporting in this competition.

I put my money on the Netherlands much to the guffaws of my friends so I was happy to see them play well.

They probably wont go all the way as they clearly need 10 chances to score one and they wont have that luxury against better organized teams

There's only 2 teams, in the Euros, ranked above England - so we should do OK

Of all the teams seen so far only Italy would beat that English side.

England would take both that Dutch and Belgian side .

Hard lines Scotland. Had some good chances pity they couldn't put a couple away.

Nation rankings for the British Isle teams:

England
Wales
Scotland
N. Ireland
Rep. of Ireland

I think anyway.

It wasn't really hard lines for them though, they had a couple of chances but equally the Czechs had more chances.

Yeah they did, but Schick missed a great chance for his hattrick when it was pulled across from the left and he just hit it straight at the keeper, then after he went off they had another similar chance from the right. Either of those were as good as the Scottish chances IMO.
