Title “The Belt from the Cardinals Crozier”

Come out,one and all, wherever you may be
Till I sing a song of Cardinal Tony
Of the day he silenced poor Leo Varadkar
With a belt of his Cardinals crozier

This is going to drive the shinners nuts.
Fair point and a decent article that sweeps through the history of SF.

RTE actually have a lot of decent stuff (writing wise) on their news site.

There's always a blissful few minutes/an hour before the shinners get going on posts like that and try to turn it into a big deal.

I was on the fence until I heard the parent on the radio this morning shiting on about her daughter feeling violated and unsafe in the school. Kids lie. The principal says he just reinforced the dress code and there was nothing said about male teachers. I believe the principal and not the chancer parents talking shite about feeling unsafe in school.
Ah that's fair enough. I thought it quite unbelievable that somebody would say distract the teachers. Some Karen scumbag is far more likely
Yet again someone posting shite on social media and the media running with the story without checking the facts. As for the 8,000 planks who signed the petition, they should be named and shamed.
All the woke types of Gen Z/late millenials are lapping it up.
Getting very sanctimonious.

The quote tweets are all gas.

"de leaks leo, they're not going away!"
Reminds me of the Benghazi dogshit that Trump/Tea Party types lose their minds over.

Apparently a homeless guy died and Leo is to blame for that.

Lost of them in this ilk.

SF are really poisoning the well of discourse.

O'Riordan decided To Kill a Mockingbird should be banned because some trolling black academic said so. It was because they contained the n word and he didn't care about context as he was playing, well you know, politics. He makes it easy to not be absolutely wedded to Labour anymore

Rishi has announced 5 years of austerity to pay for the pandemic. Strangely no word from our politicians on how big the bill is going to be. They should just come out and say every week of lockdown will cost roughly X billion and that’ll mean spending cuts and tax rises.

The rumours emanating from the DoF and making it to the other Departments is ugly as fück. So ugly it makes the decisions completely incomprehensible. Lads we are going to have a Shinner government within a few years. I now understand that.

 If only they'd listened to you lads.

In terms of a SF gov, I'm not ready to concede that it's inevitable, but my big hope for this gov. forming was that it'd kick the can down the line long enough that some of the Army council old heads would die off before the next election at least.

It will happen here but agree with Johns that it’s a bad idea to implement immediately. Need to at least try to unlock the savings first.

I think the ECB will lock a lot of that debt up and asterisk it, so it's not used in debt/gdp ratios. The UK doesn't have this option.

Barnier has apparently told Frost that unless the UK shift on their positions the talks end on Friday.

So we will find out next week who has the deeper pockets.

I think there is a lot of opportunity for Ireland in Brexit, especially now we know Covid will be gone next year.
