He's very clearly a shinner/anti government type. He's just sat on that till FF were in government.

There is not a chance he's FG anymore. He might have been but you haven't been paying attention to his vitriol towards FG and Varadkar in particular if you think he still is.

What sort of house do you live in ?

Victorian and older tend to have lots of brick walls, and unless they've been rewired, "interesting" electrical circuits, and line of sight systems are still better.

One I bought myself now pipe down.

A trades person (retiree age) doing a job on the house told me today about the shocking state of 17 bedsit or b&b type properties owned my John Bruton’s or probably his wife in Dublin city. His wife and daughter run the property business and had the tradesman review a job (bathrooms). The property houses poor immigrant type people. While the tradie was there the bitch of a wife disallowed one of the tenants to use the kitchen after 9am and verbally abused her. The place was in such an appalling condition and way she treated the residents, the trades person told Bruton’s wife he wouldn’t do the job on ethical grounds. Apparently one of the mothers living in the property complained about the landlord (Bruton’s wife) for not allowing the kids get breakfast prior to school and it made the media and Pat Kenny’s show. There was no connection made in the media to John Bruton. What a disgrace. He was the TV recently too. What is it, 47% of TD’s own rental properties.
These disadvantaged people have to evacuate the property after 9am for a number to hours each day and come back in the late day. The housing situation will never be sorted in Ireland with rich politicians involved looking out for mé féin.

Report them.
There are legal regulations, and an inspectorate.

Lads, apologies to anyone offended. The tradie is back to complete the work. It’s wasn’t apparently John Bruton, his wife or daughter involved. It was apparently his brother Richard Bruton and his wife. They apparently own a property management company as well as owning millions worth of properties. Maybe some of you had figured that as Richard Bruton is known to be worth a few million.
It wasn’t Richard B’s wife that appeared on a radio show to defend the condition of the rented properties, it was a representative of the Bruton’s property management company that was on the show. It was exactly very recent either, rather happened about 2 years ago.

I live in a 100-ish year old house and the powerline adapters aren't worth a shite, get a fraction of the speed the internet is rated at.

Yeah that sounds much more believable. A recent ex minister of communications is a slum landlord. Yup that is defo true YOYO. I saw another very stupid thing today on facebag where a young one who works for Emirates goes off on one about the extended travel restrictions. The photo surround she is using: STAY AT HOME. Made me chuckle no end

The wife did apparently ask the tradie if he’s spread good word about the property company after the negative media. He refused.

The tradie isn’t a fan of capitalism.

Then you have landlords like myself who helped tenants put up satellite dishes even though I verbotened them in the lease.

Not condoning it but outside is far, far better than inside, even if it's crowded. Have we had many outbreaks linked to outside crowds?

Similar scenes here in Pigdogland as well.

Hopefully, there are few, if any, actual sick people amongst those crowds. Still a shit thing to see.

On an entirely selfish level, I don't understand how drink people shouting at each other in confined spaces and using toilets frequently is any less risky than exercising indoors together.

I say just go pull all the licenses from the pubs and put all the owners on lists, make sure they can never work again. Jail them.
