I think we're going to see a NPHET intervention again. Christmas may be cancelled.
People going a bit too mad with the pubs maybe.

Tesco 99c plain pizza.

Do they still so those? Got me through college. I used to live on them and Tesco waffles . Cheap as fook.

6 Can Dutch Gold and if I was feeling adventurous 6 cans of McArdles.

My parents both worked so unlike all the jammy bastards on student grants ,I had to rely on money earned at weekends and summer holidays. Needless to say I didn't have any money during university and had to borrow a lot including from the parents.

Even the Oberlin Microaggresions blog sounds like something that can't be real.

Yeah, they sound woeful.

So petty but it's an example of how an inferiority complex can cause offense no matter how harmless

Hospitalisations starting to climb but ICU at lowest in months (27 + 4 suspected). I've no doubt we can get through the next few weeks without it getting out of control as long as people setlle down in the New Year. So do what we do every January!

I think they might go for a two week mini lockdown to focus the minds.

I read somewhere today that the cabinet will be meeting on December 28th to review the situation rather than early January as previously suggested. I reckon we’ll be back in Level 5 before NYE given NPHET are already giving us the whole “deeply concerned “ mantra again

So I just went to watch Aliens on Sky and saw a disclaimer about outdated attitudes. One of my favourite movies of all time and had to look up what they meant:
The inclusion of Aliens on the list initially baffled Twitter users who argued Sky Cinema was discrediting a film with a “strong female lead for no reason”.

However, a spokesperson has since noted the disclaimer stems from the fact Jeanette Goldstein, a non-Hispanic actress, played a Hispanic character, Jenette Vasquez, in the hit sci-fi sequel and even applied bronzer to her skin for the part.
Is this the same as blackface or what? Am I being insensitive by going wtf?

Hmmmmmmm..........
Restaurants and bars that serve food were finally allowed to open their doors on Friday, December 4 but wet pubs were ordered to remain closed.

Newly released figures Health Protection Surveillance Centre show there have been 762 outbreaks in the two weeks to Friday, December 12 with none traced back to pubs and restaurants.

I await the same at the start of the recently made Mary Queen of Scots which portrays several members of Elizabeth's court as black
