Genge is having a mare.

Eddie isn't going to pick any of these players is he.

Genge is Roberto Duran.

Dreadful handling from existing caps. The debutant are massively outperforming them.

Always good to see Bracey and get a reminder about how much he hates England.

Randall kicking too much and pretty poorly.

Shane we didn't see more of Lawrence in the centre and the 6 2 split not locking great.

USA 14 is getting monstered out there. Poor lad, he's all over the place

Yeah, same old Eddie nonsense. Randall and Smith and we kick...

Smith shifting the ball on too much, needs to commit more defenders.

This is a poor performance. So many basics missed.

Can't manage the scrum, can't get the guards in place, keep giving away dumb penalties.

Just really poor.

Lie I said before the match its a real test of players you want to progress if you pick a strong side and put the rookies in that Picking a side with so many rookies I don't think it was Jones intention to show anyone at their best.

Brace is a weird ref. Pretty good in open play, but his officiating of the scrum and maul are shite.

Sorry, how did Genge have a mare? he toasted their TH, 11 massive carries for 55m from a prop is superb.....one of our better players. He and Heyes went really well.

England have never done scratch teams very well. So a scratch team of rookies was never expected to do much. With Smith making his debut I bet Marchant and Dombrandt were gobsmacked to find out they were not even going to be on the bench. Don't get played by Eddie Jones

Because he’s the new hate figure. Expect all kinds of weird and wonderful opinions about his playing ability and character.

Predictable nonsense from Eddie https://www.englandrugby.com/news/artic ... ung-talent

How many changes will he make, with Malins and Lawrence presumably out?

I'm no Eddie fan, but those comments looked pretty uncontroversial to me. What would you expect him to say. He's hardly going to run down his team, with 12 debutants, in public.

Not sure many of the new forwards will be challenging the incumbents in the short term, despite their general dominance. Genge and Underhill stood out, as they should.

More interesting options in the backline though. Randall, Smith and Radwan brought the fireworks. Kelly carried strongly. Big Joe reminding us what a threat he can be. Steward not really tested, but showed his classy basics.

Genge looked good in the loose
Blamire did well
The Sale hooker sub was pants, overthrew the first 2 5 m lineouts and knocked on at the 3rd
The locks were penalty magnets
Ludlow was lucky
Dombrandt was pretty anonymous which given the opposition was a poor show

Smith and the two wings had good games
Steward was solid.
Didn't see much from either centre

Steward, Smith, Randall, Robson (poor sod still never started a game). Would have liked to see more of Dombrandt over two games. He was a bit eager but he really would give England another dimension in the loose that they just don't have with tug boat Billy.

His performance against us last year was one of the worst efforts from an English prop I’ve ever seen. Don’t know if he’s carrying an injury or what but he looked completely uninterested

Genge was a bit naff during lockdown until he got back from the Six Nations. Since then, his form has been excellent, and he really seems to be enjoying himself. Becoming a real leader too.

Scrummaged and carried exceptionally in these two games, and is obviously a leader in that group.

He's certainly looked the part - but we have to consider the level of the opposition - it'd be great if he could put in those sort of performances at 6N level - even coming on as a replacement - We certainly need another real test class loosehead because Vunipola is a spent force and Marler is not always available. At 26 he is still quite young in prop terms.

November test selection will be interesting. 5, 9 and 12 are still tricky. Would love Eddie to give this group a run of games.

1. Marler
2. LCD
3. Sinkler
4. Maro
5. Hill
6. Lawes
7. Curry
8. Dombrandt
9. Robson
10. Smith
11. Nowell
12. Manu
13. Daly
14. Watson
15. Malins

16. George
17. Genge
18. Stuart
19. Martin
20. Underhill
21. Randall
22. Faz
23. Slade

I see Eddie Jones has lost yet another coach - John Mitchell leaving to become Wasps attack coach, which is odd in a number of ways.

It was kinda weird he became England defense coach in the first place. I'd love to see how Jones works his coaches. I can't believe his relentless toughness has always been constructive. But for someone who knows a huge about of Rugby, Jones really misses out on some basic human parts that can't be helpful.

A number of the coaches Eddie has brought in have been actively sought for some very attractive opportunities in the game. At least in part there's a positive in there that Eddie is consistently drawing in sought after talent and isn't overly getting in the way of them pursuing other career opportunities.

Mitchell has I think been one of his better signings. I wouldn't quite start with some of our concepts, but what they do they're doing really well in terms of defensive systems, and he's certainly added something since coming in. Good luck to him at Wasps
